Solid game.

I've played this off and on for quite a bit. It encompasses what Diablo 2 could not but it also misses in some areas thanks to new updates invalidating one of my favored playstyles. I still love the game as you have quite the selection of skills per archetype. After that you can mix with another for even more build variety. The base difficulty can seem really easy at times but the real challange is hitting Ultimate mode and going towards fighting superbosses and such while collecting things for your final build. I think fans of the isometric ARPG genre will generally like this. I've got my worth from it and then some.

genre is not dead yet

most of time i thought what Path of Exile is last survivor of genre, but this is really nice game which reminds me good old Dungeon Siiege 1 mixed with DIablo 2 with some concepts from Path of Exile., i definitely recommend Grim Dawn to all lovers of this genre.

More fun than Diablo III

Made with the Titan Quest Engine, Grim Dawn does much more than Titan Quest ever THOUGHT about doing. And honestly, it's even more fun than Diablo III. The story line and in-game lore is superb, with LOTS of reading material and voiceovers. The controls and gameplay are spot on. There are quite frankly... MAJOR features that aren't found in many ARPG type games. Being able to rotate the camera while playing is nice. I like the leveling system. You can customize your character in many ways, but I've noticed that the game kinda pulls me toward using guns predominantly. I've made 2 different toons in the attempt to diversify them, but you'll find that no matter how you build it, you'll end up playing the same way, with a gun as your main weapon. I haven't tried making a magic user yet, so I can't comment on that type of build. You wouldn't think you could improve on a simple mouse interface, yet the gameplay feels solid, comfortable and thoughtfully implemented. Of course the graphics look great, and in Options there are many ways to tweak them. To customize your keyboard, there is a is simple yet powerful Keybinding section. I dig it. I've had it about a month now and I'm still playing it exclusively.

I dont even like Hack & Slash

As the title says, I never can really get into ARPG or Dungeon Crawlers, the last one I enjoyed was Diablo 2, but this game is a masterpiece. The sheer amount of character skills and class combinations makes this game so much fun, even playing the same class can give you differing play styles and once you hit the ultimate difficulty you will see how smart you are with your build. When you get this game, please make sure to get the Crucible DLC with it for $6, totally worth every penny as it gives you an alternate path to leveling and also will kick your butt. I bought it on sale for $7.49 and it is worth the full game price, I have played this more than some MMOs that I have, so longevity there and tons of lore that keeps the game exciting.

True APRG gaming experience

Started off small, not knowing anyhting about ARPG's as a whole or nor was interested in them that much, but after playing this, now I am dominating everyone. This game requires true skill and patience, not like just basic hack and slash Path of Exiles and such.
