The name of a manor and the family that lived within. A perverted and mad lineage, a clan whose final members devoted their life to mysticism and fanatical experiments. I am Abigail. Abigail Blackwood. Recently risen from the grave, I know nothing about the last 40 years of my family’s history... But obviously somebody is keen on seeing me lift the veil on what happened in Oakmarsh - to what led to the downfall of Blackwood Manor. And it seems like I have no choice in the matter…

Feel free to explore! You can travel through the world of Goetia however you like - and if you get stuck, simply backtrack and explore another area.
I really couldn't enjoy it. The atmosphere is very interesting but puzzles are totally illogical.
If you look around, everyone says that puzzles are very difficult and it's totally true. Think that sometimes you get stuck and you don't know if you're too dumb for the puzzle or if you are missing some "powerup" you'll get later.
A great idea destroyed by serious flaws in puzzles gameplay.
This is a great adventure game for the players that always say they don't want to be hand-held and sometimes must think out of the box. Very well done but difficult at times. But it is worth your time to try and figure it out. Great game!
This is a nice little game, but after around 5 hours I have opted to search for solutions online rather than in my head. Played around 10 hours and I had to read help / get clues around 20-30 times. There are many puzzles which are impossible to solve for normal humans without help...
TL;DR; Goetia is an underrated, story-rich point&click that avoid many pitfalls of the genre while providing memorable story, as long as you’ve made the choice to invest in the story.

For the price, it’s excellent. When in promotion: basically a steal.
However, I need to emphasize this: if you do invest in the story, read everything, take actual notes, this is a very nice and well-crafted game (with few exceptions). If you play without intellectual efforts: you’ll probably fell the puzzles makes no sense.
Pros:
- Very nice atmosphere and visuals
- Compelling story
- Devs/Designers attention to details is impressive
- Some puzzles feels very good to solve
- Puzzles mostly makes sense regarding the context, no stupid unrelated things (exceptions below)
- No inventory = not too much stupid tries all objects on everything
Cons:
- I found three puzzles are unfair: stars watching, the wood path quest (wtf?) and the last diagram. I suggest you check solutions quickly after trying.
- We don't SEE or HEAR enough demons. So frustrating. :(
- UI to check the already-found clues is weak.
- At some point in the game, a map would have been appreciated.
The game is not too long but it grips you in a way that you want to play untill the plot resolves itself. It's not too hard but it has one or two puzzles that stumped me to the point of looking at wolkthrough (they deal with reading sheet musing and than playing a melody based on that and to me sheet music may as well be black magic so I had no way of solving those).
