Best Mafia Sim

I know this game very well and played it a lot. The game has really great design ideas. Planning mode and live mode. Capos with own crews for dozens of different assignments. It's pretty deep but i have to say two things hinder longterm fun with this game. First the bad AI, which will always gang up on you on a specific point in your career. They really should have make the gameplay more open ended. As it is you always have to be aggressive to be even able to keep alive. Another flaw is the live mode, which frankly is broken. Most of the orders you can give will end in a fiasco with the cops and get your guys killed. The AI is so unbelievable stupid, it's not funny. Nontheless the game is superior to it's successor and all other gangster sim games. It has a deep gameplay and really a lot of hidden factors and possibilities. It's a shame it has so crucial flaws. Hopefully we'll see a remake or fixed version sometime.

One of the best games ever

A terrific game, management style and quite complex at the beginning., but very rewarding with the pass of time. Very entertaining and addictive. When I played this game back in the days, I always hoped there would be a sequel (because "Gangsters: Organized Crime" was soo good), but Gansgsters 2, was just awful, they lost the management style that made this game so awesome. Deep inside I still hope there will be a Gangsters 3.

One of the BEST, but needs patching.

This is one of my favourite games of all time. Unfortunately the only reason it is scoring low on GOG is because this version needs patching. It doesn't run on Win10 no matter what I try. Even if you do then sound or text goes missing. Last time I managed to get this game to work properly was about 4 years ago, but even then I had to hack it to pieces to get it to work. When I did, the game would crash after a certain point near the election period. Please remaster this game and sell it. I'll pay £60 for it no problem if you do.

Great Nostalgic Game

One of the best mafia management style games ever made in my opinion. I wish they would give this title a remastering or develop something new along these same lines and depth. Game is working on my Win 11 system. you just need to tweek a few settings. 1. Install game making sure to create a desktop shortcut. 2. Follow victorvasques instructions below. 3. Right click the game's desktop shortcut icon and select 'properties'. then select 'compatibility'. Choose the following: - Run in compatibility mode. select Win 8 (if doesnt work, select Win 7, then try XP. Win 8 works for me). - Check reduced color mode and choose 16 bit. - check run in 640x480 resolution. if you dont you may lose sound. - check run as admin. apply settings and start game from shortcut icon NOT from Galaxy app. The app causes issues. Enjoy!
