My Favorite FMV game

I gotta be honest, and maybe it's strictly 'nostalgia' speaking, but this is my favorite FMV type game. I first played this on Win95 when I was about 12 years old or so. The plot is fantastic, the controls are pretty easy to get used to(much improved from the 1st game with the cursor changing mechanics). While the acting isn't exactly 'top notch'(notice Gabe's head tilt EVERYTIME he says something), it's still very entertaining for a game that came out at that time. If you can somehow get your hands on the book based on this game, do so(it isn't cheap anymore >.< ). My ONLY complaint is that Mosely isn't in this game, unlike the 1st and 3rd installments.

Fun localization

Gabriel tries to get into his role as Schattenjäger, even if he still really understands, what it means. He is called to Munich to look for what appears to be a Werewolf. At that time the game came out FMVs were the next big thing, so of course they tried to follow the trend. I never really liked the actor, even if he did a good job, I was just too used to Tim Curry's voice. But he would not have suited the role. Ths story is nice, brings you to some iconic in and around Munich, with references (and dreams/visions) of long dead kings and composers. Gabriel doesn't know German, sometimes he does not understand what people say, so for the German localization they had to think of something. While most of the time people speak plain German for everything Gabriel understands, those who say something that he doesn't understand, speak in a bavarian dialect which is used in the region.

Oh how I love GK

I somehow remembered this from my teenage years as being just average, but I loved this sooooooo much 25 years later. The mid-90s was a time when video game technology was all about using live actors, which did not seem to last that long and will likely never happen again. I think this is why it is such a fantastic experience. There are tough puzzles; so much so that I had to look up a few cheats when my memory failed me. I love the actors (I'll chalk some of that up to nostalgia), the script, the history, and the excitement.

Truly Great Game!

I remember when this game was originally released in 1995, it was a huge hit. I played it several times. This is a great adventure game which really stands out, no matter if then or now.

SUPER GREAT GAME ( nothing else to say )

what can I say other then this game is from when Sierra made great games and since this was my first acturl cdrom game to be played in the super fast 486 with soundblaster 16 and 6x speed cdrum drive it was and still are a great game and I still have it this day sow if you want to play a great game from Sierra's golden age this is the one you want to play since it will blow you away and as far as I remember there are over a 1000 real pictures from germany sow it's pretty sad that Blizzard took over that company and closed Sierra down since they have made really great games
