The planet New Haven was supposed to be a paradise, an idyllic, peaceful new home for colonists from Old Earth. But that was before the wars broke out, before the provinces turned on one another, and before the aliens arrived...
Unwittingly, Earth scientists awoke the sleeping giant of the Tauran war machine. The same deep-space probes that first discovered New Haven also alerted the aliens. I can not recommend this "yet"
This is one of my alltime favorite strategy games of all time that i played for hundreds of hours as a child. However the graphical issues, freezes during enemy turns lack of windowmode and lack of mouselock to move about the camera with the edges of the screen make this a complete pain to play. The effort in making this "playable" on modern hardware were minimal and the game is in a broken state as of writing this review. Wait for another update or skip this one and patch the original instead. It will be easier to manage than this.

Will not save...
I was quite looking forward to playing this game, but upon trying to save it turned out that was not possible: an error occurred saying I should try another saving slot. This happens for each slot though. And nowhere on the internet is a solution to be found. All I found was to delete the save game map and make a new one, but there is no save game map created to begin with, so I cannot do this either. So the game itself definitely deserves 5 stars, but the GOG-version deserves 1 star as it is simply not playable if you cannot save a game.
