Doctor Bane gives this game 5 stars!
The game is not a space sim, but is more arcady and that is not a bad thing, as it is fun and immersive. The main story line is interesting and it will keep you pushing for more, while the subsequent new ships and upgrades will have you invested even more. Endgame has its charms, as you are poised to do rifts, incursions, titan encounters and with the expansion incoming even more content revolving around Ancients will be available. I have to recommend this game as it provides amazing value, hope devs dont see this review and up the game price ;)

Fun space shooter!!
I am just really getting into space themed gaming (just last year I built my 1st PC). I've played most pop titles by now. Elite, X4, Eve, Star Cit, even Starfield. This game is it's own thing compared to those, but definately holds it's own, in terms of "fun to play". And that's what it's really all about. Some of the above games mentioned have playerbases that take the genre too serious at times. This game is just strait up fun and rewarding to play. Challenging but acessable. Not grindy, no microtansactions or $1000 dollars ships... just a guy, a fair story, a ship and some guns. Recommended!

Gutes Spiel
Endlich ein Weltraumspiel, welches die Lücke schließt, die damals nach Freelancer entstanden ist. Ein einfaches, arcade-mäßiges Weltraumgeballer mit recht guter linearer Story. Kein übertrieben überkompliziertes Elite Dangerous, wo man erstmal studiert haben muss, um das Spiel zu spielen. Kein Sandboxsurvival wie No Man's Sky, wo man sich seine Story "selber baut" (sorry, habe im Leben genug solcher Storys). Kein zeitfressender Sandbox Aufbausimulator wie die X-Reihe oder so ein MMO wie EVE. Sondern, hast deine überschaubare Auswahl an Schiffen, fliegst mit nur einem davon rum und pustest Zeug aus dem Weltraum. Hast eine gute lineare Story mit interessanten Charakteren und guter englischer Vertonung. Sehr gut designte Locations mit mal mehr mal weniger guten Rätseln. Vergleich zu Everspace 1? Nun, ES1 ist ein Roguelike und ES2 ist Open Wolrd. Die einen mögen das eine, die anderen das andere und die dritten mögen beides. Alles in allem, wer damals Freelancer gemocht hat, wird sicherlich ES2 auch gut mögen.

Excellent space exploration and extermination game with decent plot. Lots of fun to be had with different weapons puzzles and hidden chests.
