Empire of the Ants (2000)

This game is riddled with bugs, both technical and in-game. The game is confusing, extremely difficult at times and hard to control. And I love it. The struggle to defeat another colony is real but sooo satisfying once you succeed. Also the music is nice. The gameplay is varied. It feels like those ants are there own creatures making a mess if you don't set orders and priorities. The graphics are crap, even for an old game. But it doesn't really matter. For the RTS fan who likes a challenge and ants, this wacky game is amazing.

I really love this game, I really do, but it keeps crashing from time to time, what makes it hard to fully enjoy :c

I loved playing this game when it came out initially. Two things are a bit frustrating, the game supported different languages, eg. French or German. This was really well done and it's a bummer this got lost. The other thing is that there has been a gold edition with some balancing patches. Would be great to have this available as option as well. Overall I am still happy I get to play this old classic again (might pick up the remake from 2024 as well)
