Empire Earth Gold Edition

The game is still my favorite game of all time, and happy I found it where it works flawlessly.

I liked this game a lot as a kid because you could go from cavemen to the future, basically, which is a good idea but sort of weird to be in this nanotech future still fighting for stone and wood, etc. It's fun although the pathfinding is sort of rubbish and the IA cheats shamelessly in the harder levels.

This is purely a nostalgic trip for me as this was one of my favourite games when it first came out. Surprisingly I am still enjoying it today. I rated it better than Age Of Empires, another old classic, and to give it a little more perspective I thought Total Annihilation was a better RTS. Having said that, I played them all back then and I play them all now years later and loving it. About the only thing I don't like about the game, and it's just personal, is the later epochs. I just don't think they are done well enough and are not as fun. When you get to the point of being able to make robots, I may as well play TA or SupCom as these games do it so much better. Any of you like making maps and campaigns? Well it's built into this game too. No idea what it's like as it's not my thing, but I don't think you get too many RTS games these days with those tools ready to go. I could be wrong about that but anyway, if you like RTS, give this old girl a shot, you might just like it.
