My favorite Kagura
This review is based on the uncensored version of the game. Dungeon Town is very much a traditional dungeon crawler RPG, with some original mechanics added in. You have a world map you can move around on, where you can visit the different locations (chapel, town, farm, dungeons etc). The dungeons are randomly generated, and are completed by getting to the last floor of each area. Combat is turn-based, with different types of weapons, attacks and magic. The artstyle and cheerful soundtrack brings a lot of life to the game world . The chararacters and shopkeepers you can interact with all have different personalities and quirks. Most of the female characters also have full voice-acting. The characters have a lot of sidequests to offer you, often with collection tasks that can be completed passively as you slay monsters. It always feels like you're doing progress. You can partner up with one character at a time while traversing the game world. One mechanic that is unusual from the standard formula is that your levels are drained every few days. A succubus will sometimes visit you when you sleep, and you have to give up your levels. You get some currency in exchange for this (for buying skills and unlockable scenes), so you get to choose between losing half or all of your levels (for bigger currency payout). There is no mouse support. You can use keyboard, but there is also full support for controllers. Fullscreen and windowed modes are supported. If you're gonna play this just for the porn.. I wouldn't recommend it. The scenes are a bit old-school. Just a static image with some warping and animations. The sex scenes are played out like a battle, where you deal pleasure instead of damage. You build relations with the characters when partnered up with them, flirting through a minigame. I don't think you would lose out on much by playing the censored version.
