Unworthy sequel.
Don't get me wrong, dungeon keeper 1 is my all time favorite game, but this is not done it's nostalgia magic on me. The good parts: -It is in complete 3D! -Picking up creatures and dropping stuns them, so your enemies cannot spam them. -Creating groups in first person view. -Spells level up now, example, summoning imps with level 4. -At the End of each campaign, there is a funny cinematic cgi. -Workshop is a big improvement of prequel, now you choose the traps you want, which trolls will make them. -Increasing and decreasing speed of the game itself. Bad parts: -Mana is added, why not only gold like previous one. It is used by spells only, even by some traps continuosly. -Sound is way off and missing a lot, does not give statisfaction as prequel one. -Training limits, creatures level up to fixed amount (I think 4), for more exp, let em battle. -UI, this is completely disaster, it is not clear, especially the map... -Battle stats, when your creatures are battling, in DK1 you could see their healths and pick em up. -Timers on some missions, again why? Forcing the player to rush is not enjoyable at all. -Crashing when playing first person view... -Reinforced walls can be broken now by imps. Neutral parts: -The cinematic movements of camera ingame, when starting the mission and giving some briefing is actually not bad. -Voice acted horned reaper is the narrator. On it's own, it is not bad game, feels like a total different game. But as a sequel? It's just not worthy classic.
