Dungeon Keeper™ 2

Totaly awesome! Only one problem... Why not a DK3!! Killing heroes and slapping your minions around.

The game is overall very enjoyable - my only problem with it is that due to this being the official last version, several bugs are in there - most of all leading to no spawning dark angels or dark knights... the patch procedure is quite easy but not the easiest - there is an inofficial patch 1.73 you can use - use google to find the best procedure.

and I'm a huge fan of it, even just playing around in the pet dungeon mode is hours of entertainment

I bought the original Dungeon Keeper, but never got around to buying the sequel. Most of the aspects of the UI that irritated me are gone, and it works great on OS X with WineSkin (CGX10 engine - the stock WINE doesn't work, but apparently does on other platforms). It doesn't have quite the same humour as the first instalment, but the missions are sufficiently varied to be fun right up until the end, while the first one got a bit repetitive after a while. Maybe GOG sales will encourage Bullfrog to reinstate DK3 development...

This game grabbed me and didn't let go for the longest time. A truly grand sequel to it's predecessor. Being the bad guy never felt so good. And the commentator is downright hilarious to listen to. Especially when playing past midnight. ;)
