Unsatisfactory

I know I'm repeating what some other reviewers have said but I feel I should show my agreement. I should also say I really liked 'Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon' so it is very disappointing how low the quality fell for these two. The two games Dracula 4 and 5 together are about as long as you would expect from a single episode of a game. To make it worse some of the puzzles have really odd and unpredictable goals. The mechanic of keeping your character alive through giving her medicine is odd and adds nothing to the game itself. The story could have been built into something really entertaing but it ends abruptly in both chapters and never develops any depth. Paying half price in a sale for Dracula 4 & 5 together I still don't feel its worth the price.

Great Bundle - Good Games!

Yes, Dracula 4 might be very short, but now, bundled with Dracula 5 for it's original price ($19.99), it feels like a complete game! The only flaw that game had has now (almost) vanished. All the other aspects of the game are superb and you can easily immerse yourself into the story (the most important aspect of an adventure game in my opinion).

Meh

Dracula 4 and 5 have the best graphics but fall short of the length and most importantly, difficulty that is found in Dracula 3. If you're looking for a point-and-click puzzle adventure, but don't want to commit to purchasing the whole series then buy Dracula 3.

Disappointing

Playing this after the Dracula trilogy was quite disappointing. Was expecting another horror story similar to the Path of the Dragon, but these games (or rather, one game split into two episodes) were completely stripped of the horror atmosphere of the previous titles. They also felt rushed and incomplete and ended quite abruptly without any kind of epilogue. For an 'adventure' game, the story is severely lacking--in the end we don't really learn anything about Ellen's disease, or what's Adam's real purpose, or who was the mystery woman, or the people supposedly following you, or what became of the paintings you were supposed to find. There are a few references to Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon--the phonograph and wax cylinder, Arno's diary and a file on the vampiric experiments mentioned in the epilogue of Path of the Dragon--but the latter two are completely useless. Effectively it was just a casual puzzle game with some relaxing background music. Also not sure if it was a bug, but after the prologue in Dracula 4 I ended up straight in Whitby, completely skipping the Budapest part of the story, which was very confusing.

Wayyyy to short

Good atmosphere, great soundtrack, solid graphics, well mostly average puzzles and strictly linear, but the biggest problem is its shortness! The game ends at its best and this is ...so annoying ://
