Top Classic.
I remember wetting myself with excitement when this follow up to the great Lords of Midnight became available. They will never ever make the likes of this game again. Just simply fantasic.

The Greatest game I have ever played.
I don't say that lightly. I first encountered this game in the 80s and I had no idea what I was doing with it. With it's prequel "The Lords of Midnight" I was captivated by it's story, it's graphics and the feeling. Remeber this was on a 48k then a 128k spectrum, in comparison your PC's and Consoles are thousands of times more powerful. Yet I still keep coming back to this game, it's feeling, it's strategy. In my life I've spent more time on this game than any other. The remade verisons here by Chris Wild are labours of love and it shows, the game has been improved and I believe the original programmer Mike Singleton would approve, in fact he did while he was still with us. As to the game, you march across the frozen wastes recruiting an army to fight an evil overlord while also trying to rescue the main character's son. Your goal is to rally the various tribles in this strange land, go explore, go find fun things and survive as long as you can. By todays standards, the graphics are simple, the AI is simple, but the feeling and heart of this game still remain.

Excellent title
Excellent remake of the Spectrum classic. I'd prefer the Spectrum keyboard layout as I still know it off by hand but I guess you can't have everything.

Unverständliches Spiel
Viele loben hier das fantatische Interface (GUI). Das kann ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Die Steuerung ist völlig unklar. Wie man sich wohin bewegt ist absolut undurchsichtig und das Spiel macht es einem nicht leicht die Steuerung zu verstehen. Und nicht nur die Steuerung. Wenn man sich durch eine unmenge englischen Textes gelesen hat, weiß man hinterher immer noch nicht, was man eigentlich machen soll. Das Spiel braucht ein besseren Intro, ein Tutorial und eine deutsche Übersetzung.

Better that Midnight
At least you are not outnumbered 100 to 1 like in Lords of Midnight! But I still felt "lost" in this game, despite it's simplicity. Struggling to get to grips with it, and it's not really "hooking me in". It's really a mobile phone game on the PC.
