Diablo + Hellfire

The game awsome but many years ago(in 2002) I bought on disc, and its price lower than now :D (aprox 2000 HUF (7-8 Euro) ) So i think its over priced today

It is Diabo 1. I´ be happy to pay the 9€ and hope they will go on with Diablo 2 Worcraft 1 und 2 and other "good old games" As for the Game, everything is said. It is old and clunky, but worth your time!

Also es ist natürlich schwierig so ein altes Spiel zu bewerten, es ist halt alt und viele Konfortfunktionen gab es damals nicht. Zu der Gog-Version kann ich sagen, dass es nicht so ganz rund läuft vor allem, wenn man im Multiplayer spielt gibt es oft Lags und das Friendly-Fire funktioniert auch nicht so richtig, das macht den Multiplayer echt zu einem schwierigen unterfang, weil man sich ständig gegenseitig killt. Der Zahn der Zeit hat Diablo echt schlecht altern lassen, deswegen ist es auch nur was für leute die das Spiel auch von damals kennen. Allein das die XP nicht auf die Spieler verteilt werden macht einen verrückt. GOG muss noch die Bugs entfernen und die High-Resolution Einstellung geht auch nicht so ganz.

Well, here it is: the good old Diablo 1. But is it really that good? If you want to know it, keep on reading. The Story itself is pretty good. A group of adventureres, a warrior, rogue and sorcerer came to Tristam where an evil power haunts the village. All while the son of King Leoric went missing. Without fear you venture down the so called "Labyrinth". Twisted, dark corridors of horror and death to find the pure evil which is the reason humanity goes down the drain. Well, thats it. The first three stars this game gets. The Story is a gem itself. But as many games which shine with their story we got a game which gameplay is, and Im being honest here, is not as great as it seems to be. Depending on your choices you either klick to attack with your sword/bow or throw some magic abilites at you foes. Sounds cool but in reality its just clunky and not very fun to play. Which leads me to the graphics. Those are pretty good for a game its age and time. Very charming to be precise. They even add a more horror feeling and let you imagine how they would turn out if they were really out there. These graphics paired with the sound and you got a pretty nice touch of a immersive world which goes by the name of sanctuary. The Characters in the world - some who sound/talk like ever bored people who just want to be left alone - add a nice touch to this world. You got a perma-drunk guy, a beefy smith and a wich. What do you want more in a dark fantasy? And here it is: the forth star. But you do want to know why only four stars for such a iconic game? Well, it is short if you play it for the story, its clunky and not very fun to play within its limits. But let me get this straight: if you never have played Diablo 1, well, then you missed one good game. It has it drawbacks but if you got around 8 hours and want story and a immersive world: then you got one hell of a game!

Wishlist until the price comes down... not worth the $10 bucks for this old relic\favorite... I miss that Sean Connery sounding NPC... "Stay awhile and listen"
