I love this game. I love the quirky humor. I love the augmentations. I love the plot. I love the progression. I love the characters. I love the fact that everytime I play its a new experience as I take a new route or play style each and everytime. I don't love the Swimming skill.

Configurable keys like, jump, crouch, toggle crouch, auto-run, hide weapon, flashlight + much more. Weapons like, knife, crossbow, pistol, scoped rifle, grenade types, pepper spray, shotgun, stun charger, binoculars + more. Increase skills, ex: (lockpick) + (electronics) + (weapons) + more. Augmentation slot choices like, ex: (strength) + (jump) + more. Intelligent menus, OSD's, missions + more. Enemies like, terrorists, creatures, bots, police. Long depth. One of the most legendary and greatest games ever created. Right up there on top with the likes of Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, System Shock 2, Baldur's Gate, Planescape, Diablo, Dragon Age Origins, Fallout, Neverwinter Nights and so on. If you want to see truly why it is still so relevant, look no further than Deus Ex: Human Revolution itself, and the upcoming Mankind Divided. This 2000 game was an inspiring and critically universally acclaimed franchise with a cult following strong enough that it spawned a AAA franchise a decade after its original release. The graphics may be dated, but the gameplay mechanics remain as fantastic as ever, level design is still inspirational for modern day games and the story has been acknowledged as one of the greatest ever written. The story is complex and so strongly woven with reality and philosophy you would be hard pressed not to suddenly find yourself shivering when you emerge from the game world and compare it to modern day current world events and realities. For anyone who is even remotely a RPG gamer: Play this game. You owe it to yourself to explore the greatest cyberpunk video game ever produced.

Undoubtedly one of the best stealth action fps games ever made. Along with thief, these classics inspired their successors and many other games of the genre. Have been playing it once every year, for the past 15 years, and haven't got sick of it. Definitely recommend any gamer to try this masterpiece at-least once.

You know... when the best criticism I can raise about a game is that it takes 5 seconds to go and alter key bindings away from the wonky keyboard layouts of 2000... when this game earns it's slot on any top 10 video games of all time worth it's salt, when you have a game of absolute legendary status... and it's fucking 2.50... if you don't have a CD copy of this game when you see this on sale what more do you want, You tight fisted skin flint bastard?
