Zurück zu den AngebotenThe year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.

DOSN'T WORK! Windows 10 64 bit.
Doesn't work on Windows 10 64bit! Which is rediculous. On an operating system and bit that is the average and normal at the moment and desn't work. that's bs. I'd be far angrier but I bought it on sale for $1.00 so I'll wait a few days for a refund. but if I'd paid full price and had to wait the full month for a return to an account and not the GOG store wallet?.........I'd be furious. I've literally spend 4 hours trying to trouble shoot this game. A 22 year old game!!!! No GOG I am not waiting another hour to download the PCApp store. Which is probably spyware and ad ware to download K-Lite codec! It should just work. So far a rare problem I've had here but this and Incoming. Really? There's dozens of games I've bought recently on here from the early 2000's. And they work. I don't get it. PC Master Race my A$$! Agame I never got to play back in the day. Guess I'll have to go to Amazon and get it for Playstation 2 for $30. Shame. Funny thing is Deus Ex 2 works perfectly. And the exact reason I'm a console gamer and not a PC gamer! At least I know if my consoles work the game will.

A straight DOWNgrade from System Shock 2
Why does the nano-augmented superhuman JC Denton take 10 seconds to line up a headshot from 20 paces (and still misses)? And why is the nano-augmented superhuman's only starting augmentation his FLASHLIGHT EYES (!!??)? Is that what he meant when he claimed his "vision is augmented"? Why is the hacking minigame dumbed down? Why does a pistol need an upgrade for reload speed? I'm not sure why people overrate DX so much. If you want a revolutionary FPRPG "immersive sim", you have System Shock 2. If you want "stealth" gameplay, hammy acting, conspiracy themes and an ironically cheesy story, you have Metal Gear Solid 2, which came out a mere year after DX while having 10 times better graphics (and is arguably more immersive - does Deus Ex have melting ice cubes? Didn't think so).

B movie of games
The overall experience of the game is like watching a B horror movie. It’s crap but for some reason you’re still watching to see how it ends. It took me a little over 15 hours to finish the game on medium difficulty while trying to explore and read all in-game lore. Deus Ex is a kitsch mix of empty locations, silly music reminding me of early era of cell phone ringtones, forced and ridiculous voice acting with the clunkiest gameplay devoid of any modern gaming quality of life solutions you might be used to. For example: in order to move the body of an enemy, you have to first loot it with the interact button. If your inventory is full, you won’t be able to pick up the body because you can’t loot it first. If you drop some items from your inventory, the enemies will hear them falling on the ground (even when crouched) and will rush to your position. Several hours in I found a melee weapon that killed every enemy unit in 1 or 2 hits despite me having the melee skill set to the lowest possible. This made the rest of my equipment pretty much useless. If I got careless I could heal myself in seconds because I always had my health packs or energy cells (used to trigger regeneration abilities) stocked to the inventory cap. Game forces you to make hard decisions when it comes to upgrading your skills because the XP are scarce and levelling up is expensive. However, the skills don’t matter that much because if you are exploring the levels thoroughly, you are swimming in resources anyway so using one lockpick more or less doesn’t make any difference. On top of that, in-game brightness slider does not work unless you install custom mods or something so be prepared for some tinkering to make the game work on modern machines.
