Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

An sci-fi RPG game with action and stealth elements, alternative ways to win and an intelligent story. I like a lot the conspiracy elements in the story, the complexity of the characters and factions, the freedom of choices, the game itself it's have reflections on moral and ethics on society and power without taking any side in left or right wings. The mix of very good playability and story makes this game extremely addictive. The end of this game is free to the decision of the player, that's a good point, but the sequels throws this to the trash and creates a canon, and the worst, they are not at the level of the first game.

Everything about Deus Ex is phenomenal -- from the music, to the story, to the gameplay, and especially the atmosphere. There's little I can say that hasn't already been said, but if you're looking for an Espionage game, a Cyberpunk game, or just a damn good RPG or Sim this should be first on your list.

I truly don't think we are going to get anything quite like this again for many many years. A triumph of game design and innovation that current generations only pale to imitate. Playing this again in 2020 for the first time in probably over a decade I was absolutely caught off guard by how well it all holds up (with mods). A powerful, relevant story and striking prediction of a scarily accurate future. Some lines of dialogue in this game legitimately frighten me. An absolute blast, and true gaming classic.

Ja, bei den Charaktermodellen sieht man jedes einzelne Polygon und die Gesichter sind nach heutigem Gesichtspunkt mehr als grausig. Aber wenn man über spiegelnde Böden läuft, vergisst man das schnell. Auch der Sound kann heutigen Standards nicht gerecht werden, ist aber stimmungsvoll und passend. Wo uns das Jahr 2000 heftig entgegenschlägt, ist die Steuerung. Charmant ist, dass es theoretisch möglich wäre, ohne Maus zu spielen - also nur mit Tastatur. Wenn man länger spielen möchte, sollte man etwas Zeit in die Konfiguration der Steuerung investieren, Nachladen mit Semikolon ist nur für Fingerakrobaten zu empfehlen. Ach ja, und die Helligkeit des Monitors auf Anschlag drehen, ich hab davor nichts gesehen, da es zappenduster war. Die Einstellung im Menü für die Helligkeit hatte bei mir keine Auswirkung. Was man aber auch noch mal positiv anmerken muss, wenn man per INI-Datei eine Auflösung von 1920x1080 einstellt, ist nichts verzerrt oder verzogen, schaut einfach passend aus. In Summe also ein Ausflug in die Vergangenheit, aber ein Ausflug, an den man sich gut gewöhnen kann.

Deus Ex sollte jeder mal gespielt haben,dieses Spiel war seiner Zeit voraus.Man kann das Spiel auf verschiedene Arten spielen: schleichen ,hacken,mit Waffen.Die Story ist toll,sowie Musik und Atmosphäre sind sehr gelungen.Das Spiel ist zwar auf Englisch,aber da gibt es zum Glück ein Deutschpatch dafür.Es gibt genug Missionen und Nebenmissionen in dem Spiel ,es wird also nicht langweilig.Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
