Broken

Deadly Premonitino is great. It clicks even though it absolutely shouldn't. It looks bad, it sounds even worse, its combat is rubbish and its tone is all over the place. But at the same time it's uniquely chill, adorable and silly in a good way. Every time I play it is full of joy and the smile doesn't come off my face... Up until the game crashes or freezes or otherwise does something that stops my progress dead in tracks. It's been three years since I've owned this game on Steam and in these three years none of my several playthroughs went anywhere. All of them ended by game refusing to work at one pont or the other. After seeing the GOG version on sale recently I've decided to give it another go, just to see if it's any different... And it is not. Three hours in and I cannot progress anymore because the game just freezes and stops responding before an important cutscene. It wouldn't be half as awful if it didn't work at all in the first place. I'd just forget about it and move on. But I've been there, I've tasted the meat of it but every time before I could finish the dish got ripped out of my hands, leaving me hungry and frustrated. Some say it works fine for them, some use combinations of black magic and pure luck to make it work, but after trying most of the fixes I finally came to a conclusion that for me the coin landed on a wrong side. See for yourself if you want to gamble with your time and money for a game that might or might not work.

Too many errors

The gameplay is actually fine, if not quite enjoyable, but it crash very frequently. Currently, I'm stuck because wherevere I go in the map (not even entering locations) the game would freezen then crash regardless of the compatibility setings used. I doubt the devs will fix the game after all these years and a sequel, but until some action is taken, my rating remains low.

Getting better with Patches Buy it Now

Love the game and always have. Played it on the 2 major consoles more than a couple times thru so I wanted to play on PC because that's my first choice. The game is different on all three versions. The Director's cut for PS3 is different than the DC version on PC. Anyway I downloaded the game and patches and it does run o.k. IT IS PLAYABLE NOW. Controller support is there, you just have to select it in the start options. Save (use the phone) a lot because the game more than likely will crash on you at one point or another. Some might hate for this but if you buy on ST3AM you can download the patched version as of 11/30/13

Great game, awful port.

I would strongly advise against this game on pc. It's a great and weird adventure that is ruined by an almost totally unplayable port. I've lost count of the number of issues and crashes I've experienced with it. Just get it on ps3/xbox
