What a Pleasant surprise!

I had a lot of fond memories playing this game and unfortunately could not get it to run on a modern system.....until now! Installed easy and runs great! They even fixed the resolution problem. Keep in mind, this is not going to look like the latest Call of Duty, but it's also not going to have all of the politically correct "woke" nonsense in it either. The game really makes you feel like you're in the jungle facing the Japs. There's also a tactical element to it when positioning your men for an attack of ambush. I definitely recommend this game! Classic GOG stuff.

Unplayable

Might be a nice game – but the performance is abysmal. Even with a DirectDraw Wrapper I had no luck getting more than a few FPS. Until there is some kind of fix: DON'T BUY! You might regret it.

Game used to be awesome

Game really brings back the old memories and I wanted to do some nostlagic gameplay again by getting it here, but sadly it's just another old game that is being sold here but doesn't work properly at all. The game on modern hardware runs at 5 FPS at its best. There is a fix, but doesn't work for everyone, so if u don't want to risk just don't buy it.

FPS fix

I don't have a great gaming rig, just a 2013 Dell with Intel graphics 4600 integrated and I noticed the horrid frame rate right off the bat. Had to mess around with changing the resolution and that created a host of problems so I switched back to the default 1024 x 768 and changed the view distance to 'Low'. This changed everything. Got it running just about as good as it'll get which by my experienced eyes is a stable 30 frames per second. You may need to restart your pc after installing which I had to do after the Initial attempt at optimization but if it works for me on my potato of a pc it should work for most people. As for the game- it reminds me of a WW2 Socom. Haven't got too far as I'm kinda binging on these good old games but I can assure it works and it's

Played original - A LOT.

Disclaimer: I have not played this port. But I played the original quite a bit as it was one of the few co-op games we could find over LAN (local) that you take on the story mode with a friend. It's not quite COD deep with fully customizable weapons and skills, but there's enough depth and diversity with the options you do get to make it worth the price. Another good example of GOG doing what GOG was built to do.
