Nice visual novel
I really enjoyed the experience, the narrator is good and art style perfect (especially the sea creatures). The atmosphere is sufficiently eerie and disturbing. I did not find even half of the collectables, so I will go back. I found them quite interesting.

this is ridiculous. i thought hp lovecraft... must be good right?! nope. literally al this is and like a lfip book that you find the hitspot on and click it to listen to someone read something. thats it.

Gute Geschichte, gut erzählt
Dagon ist ein Visual Novel und kein Spiel. H.P. Lovecrafts Kurzgeschichte wird dabei sehr originalgetreu erzählt, mit gut gestalteten 3D Landschaften im Hintergrund und einem guten Sountrack der den perfekt ausgewählten Erzähler untermalt. Um wenigstens Ansätze von einen Spielelment in die kurze Geschichtenerzählung zu bekommen wurden "Trivia" Punkte in den Szenen versteckt. Bitte sucht nicht im ersten Durchlauf nach diesen Punkten, in meinen Augen zerstört diese Schnipseljagt die aufgebaute melancholische Atmospähre. Das Produkt ist gratis, also ladet es runter und geniest die melancholische Stimmung für 15 Minuten.

cool visual novel
A nice visual novel, this one is based on the short story "Dagon" by HP Lovecraft. I have never read his works, but this was interesting, and I guess that this is my introduction into that universe. The prose and writing style took a little bit for me to get used to and I had to re-read some of the lines. Lovecraft seems to have had a very descriptive and verbose writing style that was a little dense at times for me but it was also really atmospheric and imaginative. As a video game, this is very barebones and just consists on you clicking on either an icon to advance the story, or special hidden icons that will give you more tidbits of information on Lovecraft and his era. The 3D environments look pretty good, and I'm glad that they are rendered graphics rather than a flat artwork and text screen. This is free and should take you less than an hour to complete, maybe more than that if you are looking for all of the hidden bits of information.
