Cyberpunk 2077

This is such a sad game. In it's current 1.31 patch I'd be less frustrated if it were an Early Access game, but it isn't. It's a massive failure that got pulled from stores for being a hot turd. All it's gotten since is a Mythbusters style polish job. It's a bit more spherical, and has a high gloss shine. Doesn't change that when they squeezed it out for the sale rush it was still a smelly pile of barely workable code. The voice Acting was GREAT! The graphics are good, but the sweet little nuggets this game has are still buried in a giant turd. Every try to take cover by the FRONT of a parked car? Give it a try. It's a hoot. You may break something you own though if you try it during a fire fight and end up stun locked by a parked vehicle knocking you down, damaging you and honking that annoying, wimpy elecrtic beep every time you get run over by a car that isn't moving. This game is bland. It has ZERO depth. The small details in most every other open world action game I've played (like the GTA or Saints Row games) like customization of your vehicles, player pads that you can do stuff in, getting a hair cut, seeing my character in a mirror...seriously...an AI for the NPCs that isn't placeholder, you get the idea by now folks. They rode on the Witcher wave for this. And it shows. I can't recommend buying it as it is. It's just a pile of bones under a cover of glistening fat. Buy it when they cycle it on a sale, and don't pay more than half for it. It's still not worth a full price with what it offers. And as with many other game studios, this should discourage people from pre-ordering. Wait until they release it, see if it's a trashfire like this was first. Save your money for a company that is worth it. Remember that dwarf at Crows Perch? His armor was a higher quality than this game.

Story: Engaging, emotional but extremely short. Graphics: gorgeous cityscape, billboards, lightings. sharp textures (when they load) Environment: NC is the most beautiful and captivating futuristic city I've ever seen in video games to date. The sheer veticality of the city makes exploring very enjoyable, especially when you get double jump cyberleg. Well done. Music: There's no ambient music while exploring. Music only plays during scripted, story-related moments. You can listen to the radio while driving around, and the songs on the radio are absolute headbangers. Sound: Meh. Quite a lot of interactions such as walking on certain sufaces, opening car door during cutscenes, breaking windows, jumping into water etc. have no/weird sounds. It's pretty jarring at times. Combat sounds are also pretty lackluster. Voice actors/actresses deserve praises though. Very enjoyable delivery. Gameplay: This is where everything falls apart. Disregard the constant glitches and bugs that frequently take you out of the game. Or all the skills/perks that straight up don't work (Anamnesis, Neurotoxin, Rapid Bloodflow etc.). Or cyberware that don't work (Blood Pump, Kerenzikov's duration doesn't scale beyond common rarity despite stating that it does, Nanorelays). Or all the clothing mods that don't do anyting such as Deadeye & Predator. Or the horrendous/creepy shadow your character casts in sunlight... Ignore all that, and the game still falls flat. CDPR marketed a next-gen open world experience, and what you get is braindead NPCs, no gang system, life paths are 15min intros that have no impact on your gameplay/story. Very few dialogue choices matter. Vendors & bars just open a menu. No animations. Cops spawn behind you out of thin air & can't follow you etc. CDPR churned out trailers to hype up the most basic features that other games have done, except they also failed at doing the basics properly. CP2077 is a gorgeous painting that crumbles at the slightest touch. 6/10

I really enjoyed the characters and storyline, but the game feels really undercooked. Super buggy. Hacking seems really basic, and to me, visually they kind of all look and playout the same. I got so burnt out doing the same hex minigame all the time, that I just stopped doing it after a while, kind of wish it had an auto attempt option (maybe a skill perk or something). The skill tree is boring, and feels low effort. Lots of pointless skills. The city is very pretty to look at, lots of detail. The inventory UI is some of the worst I have ever seen. I junior web dev could make a better interface than this. I really enjoyed the weapons, all the different guns are fun to find and try out. Coming from Doom-like games, having only three weapon slots is really lame, especially with all the different types. There are a bunch of cars to collect, but there doesn't seem to be a point. Most of them you just buy off the road, not achieved through quest, etc. Having to constantly loot and swap armor/weapons is annoying. I wish it wasn't a looter-shooter. I would rather just continually mod a base set of weapons. You have run around smashing the button to pick things up, gets old. I would like it if some thing would auto pickup like ammo, health, etc.

This game should've been the Skyrim of this generation and not the Duke Nukem Forever.... ......Why? Why did you fuck over your company so badly? You do realize how much you fucked yourselves over, right? GOG.com as a site and CDProjekt should not suffer for your failures. You should all thank your dev and Q&A teams for putting up with your bullshit. The game could've been so much more and with the driving physics made me want to play Mario Kart instead. Fix this. Not for yourselves, but for the devs and Q&A teams.
