Very ambitious and very unperformant

Performance is the biggest issue for me. I have to play on all low in 1080p to get 60+ fps. My setup is a 8700K, 1080 TI, 32 GB RAM (3200) and the game sits on a m.2. The GPU hardly breaks 20% utilisation regardless of resolution or graphic settings, while my CPU is 80%+ I simply cannot get playable frames in anything but 1080p low settings.. From what I could gather, if you have a 20 or 30s card you will have a much better experience due to DLSS. I will update this review as the game receives some more patches, for now I am shelving the game as i don't want to play it on low settings where it looks like plastic and uninmersive.

Horrible Mouse Acceleration

I can't play this with mouse acceleration. It is literally unplayable with keyboard & mouse.

Bisher ziemlich zufrieden

Game (Version 1.03) ist bisher ziemlich interessant und grafisch auf der Höhe der Zeit (bisher 4 hours of gameplay) Funktioniert bei mir mit den neuesten mesa Treibern und Proton Experimental in KDE Neon 5.20 in FH in den Ultra Einstellungen flüssig. Da AMD Grafikkarte (RX 5700X), leider kein Raytracing. Allerdings stimmt es auch, dass das Game mehr Feintuning braucht, auch die Bugs auf die ich leider auch schon gestossen bin, werden hoffentlich in den nächsten Wochen und Monaten nach und nach ausgemerzt. + Gute Grafik + Bisher sehr gute Inszenierung + Bisher interessante Story + läuft in Linux (nicht nativ versteht sich) - definitiv vorhandene Bugs Alles in allem bin ich zufrieden und vergebe vorerst fünf Sterne. Werd die Bewertung nach dem durchspielen noch anpassen. :)

A grand game, which still needs love

So I took around 7 hours to get through the prologue. This included quite a bit of running around the city, just exploring it. While I loved what I found and what I found was working, I did run into problems in the game. They're not game breaking bugs or anything. They're just immersion breaking bugs. Like a certain someone taking a handgun instead of a chip out of their head and implanting it into my skull. Had NPCs spawn right in front of me Duplicate NPCs walking right next to each other (different names though) NPC catapulting from a flying vehicle once it was out of sight Lighting glitching Performance is definitely not sparkling Vehicle handling could be a bit more responsive And I'm sure there's many more which I did not even pick up on or found yet. But I still must say that what I did get from the game - what I did try is certainly a compelling story, a VERY intruiging world and I'm just gonna be waiting at the edge of my seat for the opportunity to switch this review to a 5 star love afair with CD Projekt Red! Good luck ironing out the kinks, guys, you did GREAT so far!
