More FPS than RPG

The longer I play, the more empty the world feels. Perhaps I bought into the hype, that this game would be another world to dive into to get away from reality. I want to go to a bar and order a drink that's not scripted or see the BD pornos that everyone talks about. There's nothing else in this world other than gigs and side jobs. The romance is also pretty disappointing, I'm not saying every character you come across should have a sexual encounter but maybe more choices and more mature scenes? Like what's the point of choosing genitals, really? Cyberpunk isn't *bad* but it's not what was promised.

Constantly Flatlined

Do I need to say anything else. I've somehow got it managed to get it working with 1.03, then I was stupid enough to update to 1.04. Basically killed the game completely, can't get beyond the loading screen without crashing to the desktop. Maybe someday, when it's playable, I could give a better review, but for now it's a terrible game.

Not a great start

Besides the obvious bugs and glitches (some game breaking on my end) the game just feels lackluster, feels almost pre-alpha. The big open world succeeds in some places but ultimately fails in others if you compare it to something like RDR2 for example. Driving in this city just made me want to walk everywhere and in turn made me realize that the AI are generally speaking broken or nonexistent. They basically add nothing more to the game world. They are lifeless and more of a nuisance then anything else. Nothing truly seems finished when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully CDPR will come through and deliver, however a lot of work, time and care is needed to even begin considering this product finished and ready for release.

It's Alright.

Cyberpunk 2077 is fairly decent. The world looks nice and the gunplay is servicable (about as good as Fallout 4 minus the VATS). I'm not very far into the story so I can't say much about it other than it hasn't really grabbed me yet but I'll give it more time. There are quite a few bugs right now but the worst thing to me is the AI. Enemies are pretty stupid, to the point that they'll sometimes stand there and let you shoot them and they don't seem capable or reacting/adapting to your tactics. Hopefully the issues will be fixed and if they are Cyberpunk will be a good game. I don't think it'll ever be as good as The Witcher 3 but it has potential to be very good. At launch though it's just "above average". I definitely wouldn't say it's worth full price in it's current state so I'd recommend waiting for patches and/or a price drop.
