Cyberpunk 2077

cant even play the game after the 1.5patch. I try everything, Disable Overlay, Update Device Drivers, Repair Game Files, Close background programs, MY 5900 + 3090 PC JUST CANT RUN THIS GAME!!!

The hype for this game was epic, as was its launch that proved as exciting as a wet blanket. From glitches to a boring campaign this game spelled disappointment from the beginning. Visually the ray-tracing effects are beautiful. The future dystopian landscapes are visually amazing, the reflections are downright incredible. The peripheral aspects of this game demonstrate I think one of the developers' biggest strengths. Walking down the street, having your senses assaulted by the Japanese audio clips, the random soundbites of passing NPCs, the lights and the sounds make this visually a powerhouse. However the models themselves of NPCs pale in comparison with the geometry of the city. Lip syncing is way off, and some characters look downright plastic in the light. 5 hours in and I've heard plenty of dialogue, I've followed around some big dude, I've accepted jobs here and there but I haven't done anything incredible yet or amazing. One notable event was when you rescue the woman found in the bathtub in ice. When you bring her outside, the armed medivac pulling in out of nowhere was pretty cool. Other than that, from a story point of view, the gameplay has been bland. Some of the best RPGs out there- Fallout 3 and Fallout NV - have set the bar high. The game doesn't offer that much of an array of choices when it comes to interacting with characters. I find the NPCs in the city to be uninspiring - the majority seem to carry on like strung out junkies, not doing much and holding their head in their hands. While I find the landscapes and buildings extremely well-done, the people who fill it don't add substance. After having played open-world games like Mafia 2 and 3 and Assassin's creed, along with Hitman 2, where these devs have mastered the concepts of large, populated open world games with vibrant people, I find Cyberpunk's contribution to be underwhelming. The game is as hollow as it is superficially beautiful with its plastic NPCs.

In August 2022, Cyberpunk 2077's greatest sin is that it is mediocre. Yeah, it's still a little buggy. Nothing game breaking, but it is enough to make you swear sometimes. Stuff like missed inputs or dodgy prompts. What little t-posing there still is is limited enough to just be funny. The weird thing is that most of the bugs I encountered were in main story missions, which is weird -- you would expect that part of the game to be the cleanest. No, CP2077's big crime is that it just isn't enough. If you roll in with a ranged combat-focused character with a sideline in hacking, you'll have a great time, because that's how the gameplay is wired. It's a third-person shooter with a pretty decent hacking mechanic. But if you want to experience this setting as anything else -- a face, a covert operative, a transporter -- you're going to be disappointed. Rewards for getting good at anything but combat are few and far between. Good stealth play requires spending a ton of perk points; you'll be finished with the game before you've hit the sweet spot. Driving is just an abomination -- motorcycles are passable, cars are just spinout machines. Where the game does shine is the setting. Night City is gorgeous, and feels disturbingly real, at times. It could still be more dynamic, but even as a set piece it is a joy to explore. The story is likewise solid. I have many complaints with certain aspects of it, but overall it is a fun experience. The side stories are so good that sometimes they eclipse the main story, which is important because although they are optional, some of them can affect the ending. This is one of the things I wish they'd done better -- in general, it's clear there was supposed to be a lot more nuance to your relationship to certain NPCs, but a lack of dev cleanup means that everyone is confused about the state of all of your relationships at all times. Fortunately any impact this may have had was never implemented. I've played far worse

Playing the game after the noise about optimization and the failed release. It avoided me, so the review is relevant at the end of 2022 (but before release of Phantom of Liberty expansion). I was expecting a top quality story from the game, and I got it. In this game, I experienced my whole life. As I got older, I became a very impressionable, sensitive and depressed person. And after Cyberpunk 2077, I experienced a very great sadness. I realized once again how pathetic and pointless the story of my life is. In the past, I experienced this only once - after the Witcher 3. Night City is the city where I would like to live. Panam is the person I would like to be with. And I love cyberpunk (both a genre and upcoming future for humanity). I don’t like to rate anything especially in numbers, but I will give this game the maximum of 5 stars. I want more such projects. I don’t want CDPR to become Blizzard or Ubisoft of our time. And so, if you like The Witcher 3, if you like a well-written story, then give your attention to Cyberpunk 2077. And support CDPR with your finances. I thank the CDPR team for this masterpiece.

I can imagine that the first idea of the Johnny Silverhand in your character's head was really interesting, but due to bad writing and in my opinion very lacking performance of Keanu Reeves' voice acting Johnny came out as an unlikable douche. V's performance was really good though, especially male V, so much feels in his lines. Bugs weren't so bad on PC but dead open world, repetitive quests and uninteresting side characters doesn't give me strength to play new game with different character when you know the choices doesn't really matter. Background of your character change one or two lines in the story. This game would be so much more interesting and with greater impact if they made cutscenes in the third person, why to make such extensive character creator when you don't even see your character? Open world is dead, no fun with pedestrians or police, no friends or companions to enjoy the ride with. World map is beautifully made thought. Every nook and cranny is filled with stuff. Kudos to people who made the map, just the shame that there is nothing to interact with. In next patches they atleast added some different apartments. But otherwise world isn't changing, there is nothing to talk about with the characters, no reason to visit old places. Romance options aren't very interesting either. All and over it's mediocre game with great potential that is still not fulfilled. Multiplayer would made the game slightly more fun.
