Cyberpunk 2077

I started the game on a XBox One, which led me to the conclusion that CD Project Red doesn't care about gamers like they say they do. It's ugly and unplayable. I was so hyped that I bought it again on gog.com, but what can I say: it is still a bad experince. The controls are bad, driving especially is a nightmare. Graphics and sound are fine and the main quest seems to be intriguing. But it shouldn't be an Open World because of its lack of detail.. Cannot recommend.

I am enjoying the gameplay enough, but this game is not what the developers have hyped over the past couple of years as open world game "with strong RPG elements." There are a lot of basic features missing such as key re-mapping, re-spec character, change character appearance during game, and body slider (fat, skinny, muscle mass) to name a few. It seems the developers, whether at the behest of management or not, focused too much on graphics and ray tracing than implementing proper open world RPG elements. CDPR lost a lot of goodwill it earned with fans through their development and support of W3. I only hope they take a lesson from No Man's Sky and continue to develop and add features that were promised but missing at launch.

I was fortunate to play this game on a high end PC with 3090 so the graphics were all at max and rarely dropped below 60 fps full ray traced psycho. Graphics astounding Gameplay good but can become better with tuning and patches Glitches and bugs many even after 2-3 patches but will all be fixed as was shown in all previous games. Storyline pretty poor, main game length awful. Near the end of the game I was not invested in any of the characters even my own (apart from maybe Judy and Misty). When I finished Witcher games I immediately started a new game; not this game though. I found it a chore near the end. I was so looking forward to this game but it really disappointed me. I would recommend it if you just want a game to play but its very unpolished not like a CD Projekt Red game more like a GTA game (Rockstar), maybe thats the route they wish to take but if so they can count me out (even though I have been here at Good Old Games for oover 10 years). The game story line is basic it would need to be filled out with many expansions to be fulfilling. It lacks depth and backstory. It concentrates on main character and IMO the boring acting of Keanu Reeves (Johnny) who is not engaging and poorly acted. Most characters are superbly acted as always in CDPR games. For me the first person was a game breaker I thought IMO the first person was not necessary for immersion and thought it was only interesting when I could at least see my character on bikes etc, sad really. Would I be so hyped for a future CDPR product? Probably as they delivered up till this game, but this IMO was a very average offering and CDPR is not ever average.

barebones rpg with annoying dialogue controls and not much other content than the main quest.

Over All the game is HIGHLY engageing, story is great but feels unfinished. I dont know if this game was rushed, if it was randomly rebuilt or what but allot of elements in this appear disjointed or simply missing. Key examples: Life paths- beyond the very short intros and main storyline dialgoue this does not seem to be fleashed out at all. I expect a few hours of each life path having some unique play, no such luck. Weapons, overall some cool stuff here but some things are just off. The monofiliment wire for example, this is supposed to be a stealth tool that gets better with cool points but most of the stat boost come from blunt weapons talents. When used and speced out moderartly it is THE best weapon in the game ablte to stun lock crowds and make it so every HIT you land regenerates your health....turning a 'stealth' wepaon into an all out assult weapon better then the katana or Assualt Rifles. Brain Dancing- We see this in the game that the frame work is here but is basically missing from most of the game. Stores all over the place are BD stores that do not sell BDs. I understood BD where to be a big thing, the game sells it to you as a big thing- I think i was able to use it maybe 4-6 times in 60+ hours in the main quest and 2 side quests. Wall running? Saw it in the demo, if its in the game I have not been able to get it to work. Game is not great at letting you know how stuff works. Great example in COOL their is a skill that lets you leap on top of people and knock them out. But without a button promt I had to go outside the game to tell me how that actually worked. Likewise talants are not great at telling you what they actually do, if you want to punch poeple and box its not clear ifd you need to work on athlteics or street brawler. Game is filled with stuff like this, exlcluding the many bugs, Id say this game needs about 1-2 more years in the devloper oven based on game play, missing story elements and missing features.
