Bugs Bugs everywhere

I pre-ordered this game a long time ago, and was very much looking forward to it. Five years after its release, Witcher 3 is still one of my favorite games ever, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new Cyberpunk. Even when the release date kept changing, I was happy, because I believed I'd be getting a better, more polished product. How naïve of me! It just keeps crashing. All. The. Time. It crashed for the first time just after I finished painstakingly designing my MC, so I decided to wait a bit for a patch and see if it's fixed. I'm a patient person, waiting some more to play a game I like isn't that big of a deal. Now I cannot even launch it anymore, it consistently crashes 2 seconds into launch. My hardware is fairly good, I bought a new gaming rig less than a year ago, and splurged on the best components I could get my hands on at the time. Other AAA titles run smoothly on ultra settings. I've followed all troubleshooting recommendations: updated Windows, updated drivers, performed a clean boot, started from the .exe file... I reinstalled the game twice. What else should the lowly me do, to deserve the privilege of playing a game I've spent money on? Sing? Dance? Juggle? Every single one of my friends who play the game can list a bunch of bugs they've encountered. Quest items won't spawn, so if you cannot close a task, instead of enjoying the (potential) challenge, you keep wondering if it's just another bug. If you go back to a quest a few days later and it turns out that some key item didn't spawn somewhere when you started it? Too bad, feel free to replay everything. For me it's serious enough that I can't even try playing something I've legitimately purchased from the producer, and that is after you guys pushed the release date thrice. It seems that CDP decided to follow the industry standard of hyping a product up, releasing a half-baked, steaming piece of you-know-what and treating their paying customers as free testers. Shame on you.

We all had HIGH hopes for CDPR but I think those hopes are going down hill first they dont let people see how badly it preforms on base consoles so they can get more sales then the games crashes and now they censor a game because the game says something that the Chinese Communist party doesn't like I see this company being no better than EA in the future but hey EA makes a lot of money screwing over gamers so I guess they dont mind.

"Coming; when it's ready" That didn't age well, did it? I'm not even talking about innumerable bugs. It's just you can clearly see where the content has been cut. It's info in the tooltips, it's closed doors everywhere, it's rushed storytelling, it's almost every promise unfulfilled. It has decent gameplay loop and nice graphics. That's pretty much it. CDPR have clearly bitten more than they can chew. Shame.

This game is fun. I've used my imagination and Roleplaying to make it fun. I gave it a 1 because it is not even remotely what was promised when I became interested over 8 years ago. It's nowhere near the game I was promised when I pre-ordered almost 2 years ago. The issues have been beaten right to death already, so I will only highlight one glaring problem that comes direct from CD Projekt Red: Unfulfilled promises. I've been a CDPr fan a long time now, and what bothers me with this game is all the promises they made that were based on the Witcher 3. I LOVE THE WITCHER SERIES. I have over 5000 hours into the Witcher 3 (not a misprint, 5k hours). I use several mods, but I LOVE that game. And therein lies the issue with Cyberpunk 2077. The absolute cornucopia of times the devs referenced the Witcher 3 while selling Cyberpunk. Everything from the quest system to game mechanics, they talked about how much they learned from the development of the Witcher 3, but most importantly, they talked about how much BETTER Cyberpunk was going to be. MORE ADVANCED quest system, MORE DYNAMIC. Well, here is the problem: Cyberpunk's quest system is NOT more dynamic, advanced or anything else when compared to the witcher 3. I'd actually argue the witcher 3 is more advanced and they took a GIANT step back with CP2077. How is the quest system in any way more advanced or dynamic than in the Witcher 3? It's not. Cyberpunk 2077 is fun if you use imagination and RP, but it is a VERY basic game in terms to quests or branching story. EVERYTHING in this game is BASIC, and a LOT of it is UNFINISHED. For God's sake, there isn't even a criminal/policing system in the game and it's ALL ABOUT CRIME AND CRIMINALS. Police have NO AI, NONE. They don't chase after you. They don't drive cars. They literally spawn on top of your ass (literally right behind you). I still have fun playing this game. But this is NOT what I pre-ordered. This is a grim shadow of what was promised and sold.
