Classic game

Good controls, well streamlined game design, and fun twist on the ideas from the xenoblade series, more specifically X and 3. Any more information about how it's related would go into spoiler territory. This game isn't recommended for those who have trouble with hand-eye coordination since the combat and puzzles require decent reflexes and pattern recognition to pull off at a moment's notice. But if you feel like you can handle it, totally go for it. Other real downside is that controller support for this version isn't as flexible (ie- there's no switch controller support, and trying to play the game with one makes the game act all weird). Once you get used to it though, it's pretty smooth sailing.

This review is from ver. 0.8.5-4 BETA XMAS.- I first saw the demo on Steam Early access, played it (only the intro) and fell in love with it! Then I found it on GOG! screw that DRM BS I immediately bought it @ GOG. So far 3 areas are available, but they are HUGE. I spent nearly TEN hours on the FIRST ONE! so many side quests! challenges, traps, sub bosses to beat! then I realized I should move on.. went to the second area and turning back to the first was still useful and fun! from the start you get the ability to teleport between landmarks so you never have to walk if you don't want to. You can grind yourself to buff your stats or simply to buy better equipment! Your constant companion would be Emilinator for the most time, but you can separate and do things alone if you wish.. also tweak her general behavior in combat :) Then There's the ability unlock mechanic, it looks like the ability tree you find on Path of Exile. Some branches are not enabled yet so you can't unlock maximum abilities on this build. But it's super fun to tweak around.. The story part of the game is currently being developed but looks very interesting, the animations on Lea are Superb during the dialog with other NPC's and seen her react to everything around is awesome! Can't wait to see the end of this! My critics: Sometimes navigating the terrain is a bit confusing... specially when jumping cliffs sometimes is hard to understand what parts are actually accessible until you make the jump.. at least the first time you visit an area. Great Potential on this one! go ahead and try it!

Well made, too many hours of intro

It seems well done, although I'm not a fan of the combat. I don't care for aiming with my right stick; I'd prefer aiming in whatever direction I'm facing with a modifier button to hold direction so my thumb is still available to use the button pad. My bigger problem with the game though is the degree of uninteresting dialog so far and way overly long tutorials. The first hour or so is just a slog, at which point I gave it up. Take five minutes or so to show me buttons, then give me some dungeons or whatever to try it out, then dump on the exposition when I'm engaged.

Ein Meilenstein für Indie-RPG-Fans!

Leute, einfach nur WOW! Es ist unglaublich, was alles in diesem Spiel steckt! Angefangen mit der Story: Obwohl das Spiel ein reiner Singleplayer ist, spielt ihr in einer von Menschen erschaffenen MMORPG-Welt und musst euch gegen Monster und andere Spieler (NPCs) behaupten. Doch wenn das schon nicht ausreichen würde, sind auch noch dunkle Machenschaften am Werk, die deiner Spielfigur an den Kragen wollen. Habe noch kein Spiel mit so einer Story erlebt, einfach einzigartig. Grafisch richtet sich das Spiel an die 16-Bit-Ära eines Super Nintendos. Natürlich muss man diesen Stil mögen, doch wer das tut, der bekommt hier eins der schönsten 16-Bit-Spiele spendiert. Die Rätsel in dem Spiel sind einfach Phänomenal! Wirklich sehr durchdacht und dennoch einfach zu verstehen. Da das Spiel ja sozusagen ein MMORPG simuliert, bekommt man da logischerweise auch Dungeons, PvP, Quests und Loot zu sehen. Vor allem der Loot ist immer interessant und nützlich. Dabei braucht man keine Angst zu haben, dass man in dem Spiel, wie in einem richtigen MMO, grinden muss, um voran zu kommen. Die Steuerung des Spiels ist wirklich super und ich hatte nie das Gefühl in schwierigeren Situationen keine Kontrolle zu haben. Persönliches Highlight es Spiels für mich ist der Soundtrack, der sich wie die Grafik an die 16-Bit-Ära lehnt. Dieses Spiel ist für jeden RPG Fan ein muss, vor allem Liebhaber von der SNES-RPG-Ära kommen voll auf ihre Kosten.

Tolles SNES-Style RPG, Gute Steuerung!

Das Spiel habe ich auf einem Macbook 12" 2016 (m5) mit MacOs 10.12.3 gespielt. Es läuft absolut flüssig. Das Xbox360 Pad wird 100% unterstützt inkl. Buttom mapping. Es kann sofort gespielt werden. Maus und Tastatur Kombination ist nach meinem Geschmack besser. Trackpad anstatt Maus geht auch, ist aber nicht soooo flüssig zu spielen. Die Spielatmosphäre ist richtig gut. Gleich zu Beginn wird man gehooked von der Story. Die Grafik ist retroprächtig gut. Jeder Raum ist Detailverliebt. Hier merkt man, dass es kein 0815 Spiel ist. Der Soundtrack ist sehr gelungen. Das Spiel ist der Hammer, wenn man auf SNES Action rpgs steht. Hoffentlich wird es bald fertig!
