Lots of hours spent with virtual destruction! It was available on the Mac back in the day, please bring it back to the Mac!

Like most old racers, they might have been well but they don't hold up over time. Carmageddon already had terrible handling so playing it now will not be a fun experience, except maybe a few minutes. It might have been a three or four star game at the time depending on how much you played many years ago, now the graphics are downright ugly and the cars are more frustrating than fun to drive. Fortunately, you won't have to wait long to fulfill your Death Race 2000 fantasy since a new Carmageddon reboot was kickstarted recently. Save your money for the new game.

The game is so slow it's unplayable. I've tried it as is, horribly slow. I've switched to 3dfx mode, it's even slower. I've tried to manually configure stuff in DosBox (isn't the whole point of buying a GOG realease to not having to do this?), slightly better but still unplayable. I even installed nlgide and followed jaybirdwarrior's description, the game was uglier than ever and still very slow. Much-much slower than on my good old AMD K5PR100 and 32 MB RAM, which wasn't even a good configuration even 25 years ago :D I wish I could ask for a refund, but I'm out of the 30 days limit.
