On rails
Deutlich schlechter als der erste Teil (Call of Juarez). Das Spiel spielt sich fast wie ein Rail-Shooter, äußerst linear. Die offenen Levels des Vorgängers sind weitgehend Geschichte, dafür wird man von endlosen Gegnermassen bestürmt. Ich habe wohl im Tutorial dieses Teils schon mehr Gegner getötet als im ganzen ersten Teil. Das Schießen macht auch weniger Spaß und wirkt mehr wie Call of Duty, das besondere Wildwest-Feeling des Vorgängers stellt sich hier nicht ein. Die beiden Hauptcharaktere sind sehr ähnlich, was auch eine Verschlechterung im Vergleich zu den beiden sehr unterschiedlichen Typen des Vorgängers darstellt. Kurz gesagt: Den ersten Teil (Call of Juarez) kann ich empfehlen, aber diesen hier nicht.

All around Greatness
One of the best gems I discovered here on GOG. Do yourself a favor and explore the series. They are all great, each with there own way about the West. This one though is special. It really evens out with story, character, and gameplay that will leave you feeling satisfied. In my opinion play this one first as the prequel, number one 2nd taking place 20 years later with one of the main characters. Finally enjoy the 3rd game last or on the side as it's story is independent of the others.
