So close

If you know what you're getting into, this game is a lot of fun. The main way I play games is through exploration, so just bouncing around and trying things was just grand. It's far from perfect though, and several issues knocked a couple of stars from this in my book. * Not enough feedback on the cards. What does the yellow mean? What are they for? (before you reach the end) * Not enough feedback for some of the monster cards. Am I going to get something for this clicking besides a neat animation? Am I doing something wrong, if so, what? * Last level is way, way, too twitchy. After going around exploring, now there's some fast and furious clicking and mouse movement. There's no time to figure things out, screen is reset because you failed before you have any clue what is going on. I had to hit a FAQ to learn what I needed to do. This one level makes the game inappropriate for a laptop without a mouse, and is responsible for knocking about a star and a half off my score.

Two colliding things at once

It's at the same time a puzzle game and some kind of "just run around and look at the crazy stuff happening everywhere"-game. I think it would have been better if it had focused entirely on the latter. It does it great. Really good design. Lots of different and very varied (and rarely appearing more than once) animals. Very imaginative. The problem is that most of the things you can click on or interact with does nothing and that it's sometimes impossible to tell a puzzle from some interactive crazy stuff that's added just for the atmosphere. One puzzle for example is to interact with a frog in a very precise 1/5-1/3 or so time frame, after having interacted with some insect nests five or ten seconds earlier. If it's not within that exact time frame the frog will just do some weird thing and you won't be able to get the key to reach the next area. The thing is there's no way for you to know that the frog has the key or has to be interacted with. Every screen is filled with things to interact with and it's perhaps only one in seven or so that actually has something to offer. There are several "puzzles" like this that you will struggle with simply because it's difficult to tell if it's a puzzle or not. In another game - OK. But in this one, filled to the brim with random stuff happening everywhere, it's very easy to miss. It makes it frustrating to progress and often annoying to play. The game would have been if had been a pure chilling out game just focusing on running around and encountering weird life forms, enjoying the design and the music. As for now most of it's not very enjoyable.

Adorable

Unique Beautiful Adorable Touching And sometimes even challenging as a game. I highly recommend it. Being a classic point & click fan genre Broken Sword, at first I was hesitant to buy, then I was hesitant to download, and then I was hesitant to play. What could this rather abstract clickamajig possibly have to offer? It turns out: a lot of fun, in a very relaxing and soothing way. A beautiful story in a wonderful world where everything is possible and extraordinary.

joyous art piece

I smiled throughout game play due to how beautiful and quirky this world was. Its been awhile since just exploring a game was as satisfying as this. So many lovely moments, so many laugh out loud surprises, this is a game that I will keep and load up on those blue days to bring me cheer. pros: lovely unique art work and animations, quirky voice overs and sounds, hilarious animations, a decent sized world to explore and fiddle with as almost everything reacts to your mouse overs. The story is engaging, at times pretty dark. Many puzzles, I admit I had to use a walk thru more than once due to complexity. The sound track is very awesome, even my spouse turned away from witcher 3 inquisition to watch this game and laughed with me cons: a bit short of gameplay, it took me around 4-5 hours of leisure exploration. It can be hard to know what to do sometimes, I needed a walkthru a few times. Others may find the lack of any talking (human kind that is) guidance annoying but I found it charming. this game is right up there in my top ten list now. its timeless

Great diversion

I had already bought this game for android and I wanted to get the pc version too. It's a beautiful point and click adventure, nothing too trivial but it's exactly what it's meant to be: an amusing diversion, placed in a fantasy nature environment and provided with a beautiful background music, as all Amanita games are.
