Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

Buckle yourself in and enjoy this classical tale of a man turned into a vampire against his will. If you have never played a Legacy of Kain game, I suggest starting here. My first LoK experience was Soul Reaver back in the day, but when I went back to play Blood Omen, I had a good time. This game has always moved a bit sluggish, but the DIALOGUE and the SCRIPT are down right Shakespearean in depth. You find yourself immersed several games into this franchise pondering the deeper questions of morality, philosophy, and multiverse theory.

This is one of those games that should have been among the first to show up here when GoG started all thoser years ago. What's there to say? A macabre, gorgeously gothic take on Zelda, with one of the few examples of an edgy, cynical protagonist done right. Indeed, everything about this game was done with love, from the oppressive atmosphere to the spot-on voice acting. This is one of Silicon Knights' best titles, the one that put the company on the map back in 1996. Being snappier than the PlayStation version is just a bonus. This is a game that needs to be experienced, every bit the tour-de-force it was over 20 years back.

Here he is. The long waited game to be add in GOG library. My childwood entrance into the vampire world. One of the very first PC game i had, a bloody Bram Staker madeleine. The only Blood Omen game I loved. Works fine on Windows 10, support my arcade stick, great voice acting, nice cut scenes, underworld spells, RPG feels. Lets go Kain, get your vengeance!

This game is a true masterpiece , the gameplay , the voice acting , the superbe scenario , the atmosfere , the ambiance , the music (o my god the music is so good ) I really hope for a remake of this game or a reboot of the franchise , 20 years later i am style in love with this game , the best of the series for me

When I found out that the first game in the Kain series was on GOG, I couldn't believe it. It is a must have in your collection. It is about the Nosgoth principle, a gothic and bloody land, where time and space break apart. You are Kain, a vampire who seeks revenge for corruption and betrayal. Simply put, it is one of the most interesting bets in the world of video games, a mix that takes the best of many things from its time, like Diablo, but manages to generate its own personality. Silicon Knights, was always characterized by dedicating a lot of aesthetics in its games, and in Blood Omen they went further. The performances of the voices, the music, the art, the jubilation, for me are sensational. An RPG masterpiece. And what about the story, totally a narrative bet also very interesting, where prolepsis and analepsis play a key piece to understand and break with the watchful eye of destiny. Nothing pretentious, and done with a lot of passion. For me this saga. it marked the beginning of many things in my life. I hope and others, enjoy drinking from this fountain of blood! Vae Victis!
