Greatest game you've never played!
I remember playing this on the PS1. What it lacks in graphics it more than makes up for in story and size. It's really an immersive and amazing game. I honestly think this is one of the most underrated games in history, and those who know about it, know this to be true. Glad to see it here on GOG! Hoping for a proper sequel soon!!

OMG finally
After playing a pirated copy for the ps1 during decades I finally bought this lovely game, it suits the modern hardware and screens, the sound is a little low pitched but its bearable. If you wanna experience the beginning of the franchise this game is a must have for ya.

The key piece to a magnificent saga
This game is very good on its own. But added to the wonderfully written franchise that is Legacy of Kain, it turns into a fundamental piece to understand the series plot, since the rest of the games keep returning to Blood Omen events again and again. For many years there wasn't a decent way to acess and play this wonderful game. This isn't just a "good old game" that has been added to GOG's cathalog, it's a true re-launch of a classic. And at a very low price. The game runs perfectly fine, and the controller works without having to do anything or even bind the controls, making it the most comfortably playable game in all the series right now. I can't recommend it enought.

Enjoyable
This game ran fine for me, FMV's played, no black screen ETC. Good top down sword and sorcery game. Plot is pretty good, with a decently established main character and motive. Gameplay loop of slashing and spell casting has enough options to keep it fresh but some options do seem superflous, particularly with some of the later spells having similar effects to earlier spells. FMV's have aged poorly. The hit boxes are weird, sometimes you will be hitting an enemy and not damaging them or clipping on some terrain, so if you find that stuff game ruining do not buy this game. I liked it on the whole and will replay it, but some of the gameplay gripes knocked that fifth star off.

Great game with many paranormal creature
During my playthrough I saw ghosts, poltergeists, apparitions, vampires and werewolves and witches and swamp creatures and gremlins and ghoulies and demons and spiders and ogres and goblins and dinosaurs and warlocks and sharks.
