Is removing original version justified?
GOG replaced the original DOSBox version of the game with this port that now costs almost twice as much. If people want to use free and open source ports that they prefer instead (which probably may be better than this) then sure, they could still use the original version that comes in this distribution, but should they really pay more for that?

Impossible to make it work
Never managed to make it work. Windows 7, 64. I tried reinstalling DirectX, installing KB3080149 update pack and the pack with old DirectX files from Microsoft, reinstalling all video drivers, turning off/uninstalling anti-virus - still "d3dcompiler_47.dll" is missing error. Took me about 6 hours, sorry, I am done with it. Not refunding because I got it for dirt cheap at the current sale, but stil extremely disappointed for wasted time, efforts and hopes. Fail.

Less than impressed
I'm glad this game got a rework and it seems really solid from what I've seen... but it's a little bit of a miss for me when they made a new standalone version instead of updating the actual game that's been up for sale for years. I thought that's what GoG was all about - streamlining the original installments to work today ... not making one that kinda works, and one that works really well. Still I can't knock a classic ... and for $10 it's a somewhat forgivable sin, I'll just wait until it's on deep discount to spring for it since I already got the game once and it kind of got left behind apparently.

Great Game with MP Locked Behind DRM
the singleplayer of the game is great and is DRM free for this product. the multiplayer tho is locked behind DRM. Sry CDP but forcing users to install GoG Galaxy and have it running to enjoy the multiplayer is 100% DRM protection. be nice if you could cut the lies outta your business practice(s)
