Poor man's Doom meets Hexen

The game is fine but not amazing. It feels a bit like a cross between Hexen and Doom, but it's not nearly as good as either. Your biggest enemy is actually yourself, since half the weapons do area damage, which can backfire spectacularly in close quarters. As one other review pointed out, gargoyles get constantly stuck, which is annoying, and the arsenal is not paricularly exciting. The two supposed top weapons (life leech and voodoo doll) are disappointing and almost useless. If you've played all the Dooms and Heretics too many times and you're looking for another old-school shooter where you blow everything up with explosives, this game might be for you. Get it on sale.

No map editor (still need the DOS ver.)

First of all: I don't have Windows, but this port runs fine under Wine, so Linux, Mac and BSD users can use it. This ports adds some OK options like loading mods from the main menu (but you can't go back to the original game after you load a mod unless you quit the game). It seems like it relies on Galaxy for multiplayer, which is a big nono (Again, no Windows, so I can't really use Galaxy to check if that works). The new "split screen" mode works fine tho. A big bad thing is the fact that despite having mod support it doesn't include a map editor, so you need to still source the DOS version if you want to make your own maps and TC. Luckily it is still being offered inside the "Goodies" section, together with the Liuux version.

One Whole Blood

This is game of my childhood. I bought it on sale for 15 zlotys. I think it is fair price and worth it. The graphics aged bad but the game is must have. It gives lots of fun.
