personal favourite fps
Can't wait to replay it once again. This game truly is a gem - not only for its time... IMHO a must play masterpeace. What Wolfenstain has started, Blood had mastered to perfection. 10/10

Sooooooooo much (fresh) Blood!
This game offers everything shooter buffs love so much! Blood, (overexaggerated) violence, gruesome deaths and screams. The modern engine enhances the game even more for a great (and brutal) experience! I loved the classic "Blood" and a i love this revamped version at least as much! Kabooooooooom! PS: The problems seem to be fixed mostly. Only had some minor technical difficulties in the beginning with crashes while the level transition took place. But only after the first 2-3 Levels. After that, i haven't had any problems whatsoever.

Scary pleasant memories
1990s brought so many games and so many new genres. While 1st person shooters are often associated with Quake and Doom, it was something with a special taste, which touched our heart the most. Blood was one such piece of art: it reminds other projects of this kind, but the aesthetics brought in the new level of humour and gore to gaming, embraced in a story with diverse locations and great homages to popular themes of the time. As I mentioned the level design was spectacular – trains, hotels, ice lands, forests, theme parks – these are just a few to mention. WEAPONS – this is where the authors put all their imagination to good use, as you get classic ones together with unorthodox ones like Skeleton Life Leech, Tesla Cannon and Voodu Doll! You even get the pitchfork. The dark and mostly bizarre setting of the alternative 1920-s could make you feel sick after a few hours of playing, but you would always come back to smash more zombie heads and crazy cultists.

It's old school and hard!
Born in 93, missed out on all the old school FPS games but this has given me a chance to play it and I do have a soft spot for Build. It's hard AS INTENDED It's rewarding SECRETS ARE ACTUALLY USEFUL It's rewards thinking DON'T SPAM TNT (You'll get yourself killed ;) ) It's a master piece! Environements, Enemy types, Bosses all feel well thought out and fleshed out even the user maps are exeplary in how to utilize the build engine due to more powerful PCs it allows for more creative liberties. Thanks Civvie 11!

The Build Engine Game That Evaded Me
I have heard of this game before years ago, but it took me quite a while to actually get to it. I've played games like Doom 1 and 2, Duke Nukem 3D, OG Shadow Warrior, etc. before, but it seems Blood has some of the most satisfying gunplay/combat of it's type of FPS by default (What do we call these FPS games with 3D environments, but 2D objects/enemies/"viewmodels"/etc? Build-like?) The only thing that has even better gunplay that I can think of with this type of FPS, is Brutal Doom (which is a mod) and I guess Ion Fury (haven't played it yet) In short: Fun combat, likeable protagonist, it's got some humor and references, the game + it's expansion is about 8-10 hours long. Get it, you won't regret it.
