Bio Menace

This is ok DOS platform game early 90s. Nothing special but not bad.

Bio Menace is an Amazing Retro Game.

This is a game that I played as a kid. During that time most of us didn't have internet in India and this game was preinstalled in my PC probably by whoever set it up. I had fun playing the preinstalled games in my PC and this was one of them. During a fight with my sister, she deleted the game from our PC. I thought I will never see this game again for the rest of my life since I can' search and redownload it without internet. Hell I didn't even know the concept of internet. All I knew was to cry 😂. Thanks to GOG I was finally able to revisit it. Once again a huge thanks to GOG and their Team.

Part platformer, part run-and-gun, and 100% shareware nostalgia. Episode 1 is a blast: great pacing, fun exploration, and a great mix of action and humor. Unfortunately, by episode 2, the game starts to lose balance and by episode 3, the game turns downright brutal. The difficulty spikes and becomes uneven, one-shot traps feel unfair, and plenty of enemies can shoot you off screen. It still has charm and personality, but the later levels test patience more than skill.

A game that was better than Duke Nukem II in my opinion, Bio Menace is a great classic platformer by Apogee. The controls are tight, the game is fun to play and the music is great. The story is pretty cliche, but that's a minor gripe. Be aware the game gets really hard in episode 3! There's really no reason to not pick this up for the bargain price of free.
