Excellent Game; Minor Flaws
A lot of fun to play. Really reminds me of playing the Battletech card games when I was a kid, but this version is much deeper with a lot more background mechanics going on. The music reminds me of Sins of a Solar Empire, so it's top-notch. I was one of the original beta testers back when this was supposed to be a browser-based game. The basic combat mechanics are still very similar, but everything has been fleshed out - from 'mech customization to finances. There is some numpty political stuff in the game (that has nothing to do with the game itself), but it can be modded out. Performance-wise, the game could run smoother. I am running it on a first-gen Core i3 530 (overclocked), 8gb of DDR3, and a 1060 SSC. I have it installed on a conventional hard drive, and while it does load slowly, it's not ridiculously slow. No - the performance issues are engine-related. My framerates are amazing, but when attacking or moving, or really performing any action at all, the game pauses for a few seconds. Bottom line - this game delivers the 'mech combat we've been waiting for since MW4. It's worth it.

Not bad but not Battletech either...
It looks like Battletech, but it's not Battletech. Fans may like it but I'm pretty sure hardcore fans would not. The question is that they do not use the Battletech rules... turns, movement, and over all engagement and initiative rules are somewhat broken. Gameplay is fluid but needs some polish too, enemy mechs suddenly popping in the middle of your lance (game event), Darius warning you about incoming enemies just when you finish the mission, a few locks. PROS: Lore, Story. CONS: Weird rules, little and restricted Universe, few contracts, relatively short main mission, strange and repetitive random events, slow loading.

A classic comes to life.
This game has rekindled my love for this 1980's tactical table top game. This game takes all the best aspects of the table top game but simplifies it by taking care of all the confusing aspects of percentages and more rules than five other tactical games combined. This is a turn base RPG that focuses on earning money to buy bigger mechs and better equipment. If you are looking to pilot a mech in first person, this is not the game you are looking for. If you want an in depth mech RPG with all of the tactical fun of the original table top game then you will love this. This has quickly become one of my favorite games and hope that they make more Battletech games just like this one. Graphics are good but not jaw dropping but this get the look of each mech right along with some simple but cool customization. Game play is smooth and it doesn't cause any issues running it on my nVidia 1060ti. Story is simple and is told through still frames instead of cinematic scenes. I think this adds to the nostalgia. For a challenge play the game on normal, for a quicker and less stressful game opt for easy with larger payouts. Enjoy.

Great Idea, poor execution
This is BattleTech, but you barely get to look at great mech even when you are Upgrading or Repairing them. Light Mechs are at great disadvantage and basically useless.
