Beschreibung
Banished is a city building game where you control a group of exiled people who are restarting their
lives in the wilderness. They have only the clothes on their backs and a cart filled with supplies
from their homeland.
The townspeople work, build, get older, have children, and eventually die. Keeping them healthy, happy, and fed are essential to making a successful town grow. Any structure can be built at any time, provided that your people have collected the resources to do so.
There are many occupations that the people can perform from farming, hunting, and blacksmithing, to fishing, teaching, and healing. You can choose to replant forests, mine for iron, and quarry for rock, and more!

Challenging and fun
Excellent city sim. Provides just proper difficulty and tons of options for simulation, as flavor on top it has sort-of-unique and pretty graphic-style.

Great Game - Klasse Spiel
It is a challenging game, but well balanced and fair. I really enjoy it. If you fail, it's not a bug or unfair gamedesign, it's just your fault. But to survive tornados, deseases and harsh weather or to build a huge town is real fun. But it is not for facebook-casual-gamers or noobs who cry if they die.(Sorry for my bad English) Ein wirklich herausforderndes, aber gleichzeitig sehr schönes Spiel, das jeden Cent wert ist. Auch wenn es einfach wirkt verbirgt sich unter der Oberfläche eine hohe Komplexität und es gibt kein absolutes Erfolgrezept. Jedes Jahr läuft anders ab und Katastrophen können die ganze Planung durcheinander bringen oder eine schlecht gebaute Stadt in den Untergang treiben. Gelingt es einem jedoch trotz aller Probleme eine große prosperierende Stadt auf die Beine zu stellen und am Leben zu halten, so ist dies ein Erfolgsgefühl, welches man heute nur noch in wenigen Städtebausimulatoren findet. Wer nicht nach den ersten Misserfolgen aufgibt und eine Herausforderung sucht, sollte dieses Spiel ausprobieren.

Not much here
This is not a very deep sim. Everything is buildable almost immediately with things you find lying around, and there's aren't really any goals worth putting in time for. There are only a couple kinds of raw resource, only a few things that can be made from them, and no intermediate resources. The AI also leaves somewhat to be desired. Units take strange paths even with faster roads (there are only 2 kinds, bare dirt and stone). Another weird AI behavior is if you designate a building that takes logs (almost all of them do) and it requires trees to be cleared for its footprint, units won't stop delivering logs until the logs you just chopped down are hauled away to a stockpile. So units will haul the logs away from the build site (which could be quite far from the nearest stockpile) only to haul them right back. Overall, the game is probably not worth your time or money.

Badly broken
9 minutes in, the tutorial breaks. This is apparently due to changes made in path-building that weren't tested in the tutorial. What a mess. Last patch was in 2017.
