Played in early access for years and I am still surprised by the characters and decisons you can make. Many seem trivial until many hours in. Game does pretty well tutorializing everything and the power progression is challenging but feels fair

100 hours in and feels like I've only just started. This game and Darksouls are now my favourite games ever made. I hadnt followed this game through early access and havent played this type of game before. I am honestly blown away by this game. What the dev's have done is remarkable. The story is gripping, the combat feels fantasic, The visuals and locations are stunning. My play through feels drastically different to friends, there are major events that we've had very different outcomes based on our choices. In a industry of micro transactions, battle passes, locked away content and half finished kick starters having a big developer that treats players like valued customers and delivers a full first rate game without the BS is so refreshing. Larian totally deserve your money for this fantastic game! 10/10 AMAZING GAME

Great RPG mechanics, fantastic cinematics, beautiful character diversity (Evil - Crazy - Good and everything in between), intriguing story, awesome world reativity and to top it off, the game has meaninful romances with excelently written companions. The one thing i can see being an issue (but wasn't for me which is why i didn't take a star off) is the fact that its a turn based game. It isn't for everyone and it does take time to get used to. What got me into it was a scenario where i had my pet engage in combat while the rest of my party was in stealth. We weren't affected by the time stop because we hadn't be detected. my character noticed a button on the fr side of the room, which i pressed, activating the trap in the room. My party was safe but the enemy who were so focused on my pet, were stuck in the trap and gave me and my party a strategic advantage. Use your brain, find a loophole, there usually are a few, and that's the beauty of the game. I could go on to talk about branching story paths (which there are a lot of, but If you're still reading, i'm sure you get the picture.

I'm not a DnD player, but I've played and completed both Divinity Original Sin games, and I've played some of the older Divinity games, so I can confidently say that I find Baldur's Gate 3 to be the best RPG that Larian has released. The reason for that? The writing. Baldur's Gate 3's writing is just so good. The world is interesting, I care about the characters, the dialogue is great, etc. The writing is easily up there with The Witcher 3 and Enderal's writing, plus the magnificent voice acting and cutscenes elevate the already great writing to loftier heights. The rest of the game is great too. If you liked the combat in the Divinity OS series, you'll probably like the combat in this game, however it is different because it is an adaptation of the DnD 5e combat. The world is fun to explore, easily improved on prior Larian world and map design. Quests feel like they have the most freedom out of any Larian game. I could go on about all the reasons this game is great, but you don't need me to. It's not a perfect game by any means, it does have issues. But since most of the negatives are just nitpicks, I won't really go into them. This game is easily up there with Skyrim, The Witcher 3, Enderal, etc. So go and play this already!
