A gem!
I just started playing the game and am already enjoying it very much! I imported my previous character from ATOM RPG and for this I am very glad. Character creation is well developed. Translation is much improved compared to the first game. The dialogue EXP dings are good because they give a sense of accomplishment and usage of skills.

one of the best RPG out lately
Old school serious RPG are rare now, and ATOM did fill in the gap with a nice post-apocalyptic feel. now with this follow-up every small detail from ATOM has been brilliantly polished, and for once..... for ONCE I do not regret having bought this gem as a pre-order (looking at you in my Dragunov lens, other titles). The world never feels small, you get attached to several NPCs despite limited dialogues (which is a good thing, even with these limits the game is huge and takes a long time to play through), the graphics look very nice, even on older hardware, game works as promised on all platforms I tested it on, the game is just very good.

Nearly perfect!
My ATOM RPG review started with 'We desperately need more of this!' and I still maintain the sentiment! An improvement to an already fabulous game in nearly every way. Saying that the few nitpicks that I have with Trudograd are vastly overshadowed by the excellence would be a huge understatement. I would be hard pressed to find a game that has more value for the money than this, and in the best way possible. The loveliest thing that can happen moving forward is another game in the series. If you consider yourself a lover of cRPG's and the post nuclear setting and have not played this game, you should re-examine your gaming choices. 10 out of 10 mushroom clouds for this one!

For Fallout 1/2 or Wasteland 2/3 lovers
I played Fallout 1/2 so many times and was always annoyed that there are not more similar games around. Atom RPG & Trudograd are the perfect clones in a unique setting. The graphics of Trudograd are beautiful and improved a lot in comparison to ATOM RPG. The character building works in a similar way as Fallout and especially the side quests are a lot of fun. Moreover, the writing is now also considerably better than in ATOM RPG. It is recommended that you play first Atom RPG which is lessed polished but still good. And one last hint: Don't forget making many save games. What could be better? - The fights are - similar to Fallout 1/2 - are not very tactical. Since you have no squad like in Expedition Vikings / Rome or X-COM or Wasteland, it is a bit difficult to make it more tactical. But I think it could be done with some more level design. For example: More traps, enemies healing each other, allowing for cover, introducing a fog of war. - I really liked that you could import your whole character. Which is a very nice feature for players of the first part. However, it is making it more tough for new players and it is also making the game much more easy for players who invested already a lot of time in the first part. This is not a really a complaint but I would recommend to the developers to let the player start from 0 in a new game. This makes it more accessabile and easier to balance.

Trudograd certainly makes a number of quality of life changes over the first game. First of all, the perk system is more dynamic, and doesn't increase the cost of everything with each skill you get, but higher perks are at higher tiers that cost more points respectively. I personally like the first game's locales better, but this game just has a bit more polish and more QOL stuff, also it has a card minigame, Bombagun, AKA Russian Triple Triad. If you liked the first game, you'll like this too. You can even carry over your save from the final area of the first game and carry over your levels, stats, and perk points.
