A fun "escape room" style game

Ah, the "Escape Room" trend. Solve a puzzle, unlock pieces to another puzzle, which allows you to try another puzzle! And so on. It's obviously created for mobile devices, but the simple controls easily translate to PC. The inventory system and overall gameplay is an evolution of old SCUMM adventure games. Solve a puzzle, gain an item, which is actually a piece to another puzzle, and so on. Unfortunately, like that predecessor genre, it also incorporates a whole bunch of backtracking. The story and setting is fun, and almost makes you forget that you're basically playing an "Escape Room" game. Puzzles are never super-difficult. Overall feel reminds me of "No One Lives Forever" while the sound effect when you gain an item sounds like the "Thief" series when you palm loot. Engaging and nostalgic! Only giving 3 stars because all the backtracking really does break the mood.

Lovely Puzzle Spy Game, worth buying

Much has been reviewed before, I'll try to keep this short: + very beautiful graphics/scenery + theme is good + good 5-10hr experience + good pace + I enjoyed audio (SFX, vocals, music, etc.) + variety of puzzles is good o puzzles are ok, not the hardest for the experienced, but makes the game very accessible to a younger audience (aka my 12yr old kid) o open ended: as much as I hope for a sequel, the story could have been o a few minor flaws in translation (type-o, fonts, getting the joke right) - a bit too much backtracking in the later third of the game; excusable, but feels a bit unnecessary and lengthy Overall, worth buying, especially when on sale. If you like escape rooms, exit puzzles, etc., this one is probably worth. If you have played Puzzle Agent before, you can imagine this being alike in concept, but modern in practice. Good to play with your kids (or to be played by them), also fine if you want something quick as an experienced player.

Super Spiel! Die Rätsel sind fast alle prima - eine Mischung aus leicht bis mittelschwer. Ein gutes Gedächtnis hilft. Abzug gibt es für die vielen Laufwege, die, vor allem gegen Ende, wirklich nerven können. Du findest einen Gegenstand, musst ~10 Screens zurückgehen, den Gegenstand einsetzen, wieder die 10 Screens nach vorne, dann evtl. wieder zurück.. Aber abgesehen davon, ist es ein riesen Spaß. Bei der Story kommt auch Agentenfeeling rüber, die Stimmen sind entsprechend toll. Die Grafik ist schlicht aber das stört überhaupt nicht.
