Game doesn't work
Unfortunately the game does not work in its current state. You also can't run it at a correct resolution and the house movement is very dodgy. When the map loads in the game will immediately crash. Don't recommend spending money on it in its current state.

Unfortunate
As the title says, I've played this game a lot when I was a kid. (My original disk was stolen) So when I saw it not only here but on sale, I snapped it up quick. Needless to say, I am VERY disappointed. Runs great on my PC except for 1 enormous problem. THE COPY PROTECTION IS STILL ACTIVE! Until this issue is resolved, I cannot give a higher rating for a otherwise fantastic game. GOG dropped the ball on this one. So far I have over 50 games in my library, and this is the only one with this issue. BTW, I know it is the CP causing the problems because if I try to run any configuration changes, it asks for the CD! And then I can either choose to ignore it, or exit. Both close it. Not to mention after about 5 or so minutes once the game starts running it will immediately notice no cd and crash to the desktop. Once GOG fixes this issue, will change my review accordingly.

Just blah
I can't even figure out how to get past the first mission/quest/chapter. I'm sure that's at least 80% on me, and if I put enough hours into it, I could probably figure it out. The gameplay itself is straightforward, but I'm not having any fun. I've only put a couple hours into this, and that's where it's going to stop. If I better understood what my objectives were and how to accomplish them, I might enjoy the game more. But as it is, I'm not having fun, so why bother?

Nostalgia scam
I really love Age of Wonders and I've played it for years, I was so glad to find it on Gog but this digital version crashes every few game turns without explanation. All you can do is close the error message box until it reappears seconds later then you have to force close the game from Task manager. It's so frustrating, I'd rather install the game from my old CD. The game is awesome, but not on Gog.
