A Tense and Immersive Experience
I'm currently on Chapter 4 of A Plague’s Tale: Innocence, and so far, the game has been an engaging and atmospheric journey. It does an excellent job of pulling you into its grim world, making every moment feel tense and immersive. The game’s mechanics are simple to learn, so I'm sure anyone can pick it up. However, I’ve noticed that the hitbox detection seems a bit off at times—I swear I dodged an attack, yet I still got hit. This makes certain encounters feel a little unfair, but overall, the core gameplay is still enjoyable. Stealth is a key aspect of survival, and you have to be extra cautious around guards. Unlike in some other stealth-based games, they won’t just give up if you’re spotted. They will actively search for you and, if they catch you, it’s game over. There’s no second chance, which really raises the stakes and keeps you on edge. One of the standout aspects of the game is its use of lighting. The way the game plays with light and shadows not only enhances the eerie atmosphere but also serves a functional role in navigating through the rat-infested world. The sound design is another highlight—the ambient noises, whispers, and music all work together to build tension and make every moment feel impactful. So far, A Plague’s Tale: Innocence has delivered a gripping experience. I’m excited to see where the story goes and how the gameplay evolves in later chapters. If you’re a fan of stealth, survival, and atmospheric storytelling, this game is definitely worth checking out.
