This will stop of resales from cheap regions.
It will allow to limit resales of games.

johnny5wd I thought GoG used to have a philosophy of similar pricing everywhere? I understand some regions may have lower pricing due to different economies and incomes, but that doesn't apply to everyone in that particular region. At least we're not locked out of gifting, like Steam does (for example I cannot gift anything to users in different regions there, exactly due to price differences).
fzzrr +1 for the idea to send a gift to existing user with a regional price of that user if possible.
Yanrishatum Better soulution would be if you send a gift to existing user (which is not possible right now, ha) with a regional price of that user. Otherwise worldwide price. Will be quite fair regarding sending gifts to friends in the same region.
disgustingnickname Horrible thing. I wanted to gift the discounted game (Dreamfall Chapters) to my friend, so when I chose "Buy as gift" the price increased 7 times and became greater than if I buy this game without any discount for myself. Should I thank Russia or GOG.com for that?
Lin545 Now I can't gift back the game, which I own and enjoy, because the price has sky rocketed, if I select it as a gift.
I suppose that makes you happy, morddraig? I don't know about re-selling, but it sure reduces buying as gift to give others for free.
