Add SSL for the whole website
This should happen. This should most definitely happen.
When unsubscribing from emails:
>And one more thing: GOG.com takes privacy very seriously - we will never share your email address or any other personal information with any third party!
(except when we include it on pages we didn't encrypt)
And please use decent cipher suites + PFS while you are at it ;-)
www.gog.com/ already nearly works, but the CSS and JavaScript files are explicitly http instead of https, and so are blocked from loading in Firefox (I'm not sure if other browsers block it too, but they should for security). This would be really, really easy for the website programmers to fix by removing any protocols specified, e.g. where it currently says
<link rel="stylesheet" <a href="href="http://static02.gog.com/www/default/-css/_http_default.f207c412.css"" class="light_un" target="_blank">href="http://static02.gog.com/www/default/-css/_http_default.f207c412.css"</a> type="text/css" charset="utf-8" />
change it to
<link rel="stylesheet" href="static02.gog.com/www/default/-css/_http_default.f207c412.css" type="text/css" charset="utf-8" />
secure.gog.com is there, but it's defective in many ways. SSL-by-default is just the right thing to do whenever you have users logged in.
I say "urgent" in recently light of NSA disclosures.
