I couldn't believe when i saw this here with lots of comments. Its one my favorite RTS games ever, which have lots of unique ideas back then especially with real timed 3 dimensional war (undeground, surface and orbit if i remember correctly) and RPG like big Combot units. Argh good old times, i need to play this!

I love this game. Got a bit lost when you have multiple floors but fighting robots that can take each others tech and limbs was awesome!!

Add Metal Fatigue, it's got 3539 votes, and these old RTS's are simply fading away without any way of playing them on these modern systems. i have found a way to get my old copy to install and "run", but it is unplayable at best (the sidebar glitches to no end). Bring back the nostalgia!!!

Of course it should be added, no question. Metal Fatigue is one of my best childhood games. Also, I'm in the process of making a game heavily inspired by it. Ok, so after a lot of testing, the glide wrapper thing doesn't always work and when it does the game still crashes more than I would like. Also I have no idea how to make the multiplayer find games I'm hosting on other computers in my home. This would be a really great one for GOG to work on. I for one would pay quite a lot for a working copy of this game (despite already having bought it once before and still having original discs) and I have several friends who feel the same way. In case it helps, it looks like the original game was written in Visual Studio 6 (not sure which language or I'd have it decompiled by now) based on the file types the game uses. Also, one of the creators of the game is now a science fiction writer, so he at least still has a presence on the web (Jason M. Hough; listed in the credits under Core Team, Game Designer and Mission Designer). I have no idea if he has any access at all to the source code anymore.
