ironmaw it is a crying shame that gog got political and decided not to host this game on their site. i use this site for all my classic rpg gaming purchases, but i had to go to steam to buy grimoire? that is ridiculous. this embodies all that i love about classic crpg gaming and i see gog's response as both immature, irrational, and economically unsound. someone needs to get their act together up in management and put this game on gog asap.

rlnonay Grimoire has high positive rating on steam because developer actively threatens those that post negative reviews. I'm quite surprised too that the dev wasn't the guy that made the attacks in New Zealand - it exactly fits in with his philosophy.

boru Judging from comments in some forum threads, there seems to be a coordinated attempt to keep Grimoire out of the hands of GOG customers. I haven't seen so many ban-happy crybullies since I deleted my twitter. GOG, please re-evaluate your decision to withhold Grimoire. As of this posting, Grimoire has a 94% very positive rating in "recent reviews" on Steam. A huge slab of your customer base is here because of their love of classic RPGs of the 1990s, a genre that Grimoire clearly takes inspiration from. With over over 250 games on my GOG library, I must say that I'm not here because GOG is so greatly in synchronization with the hipster authoritarianism of the current year, but rather because you're the game seller that stepped out of line and dusted off those Good Old Games of the past and made them playable again. Grimoire makes for an excellent addition to those games that put you guys on the map, and it deserves a home here.
Thaifun Please release this game on GoG and let us buy it. CDPR engaging in censorship and withholding games from its users for political reasons is a really bad anti-consumer move that clashes with the image you have been building over the years. I hope you reconsider.

ubiquityxx Please reconsider your choice in not selling Grimoire on GOG. The game is representative of an era and style of game a significant portion of your members are craving to buy and new players to discover. If your decision is politically motivated be sure to keep the artist and their work separate - they must be able to stand independent of one another. Otherwise your choice risks being perceived as censorship.

Jimona I'm surprised people are defending a game so badly made that it required a manual to actually complete. A manual that didn't come out until over a year later.
Wolfram_von_Thal Mr. Blakemore is quite an excentric individual - but I have to admit it: His game is a very well done piece of software, reminiscent to the real old classics of RPG-gaming back in the early 90ies. It's full of features and interesting gameplay elements, hard as nails, doesn't take the player at hand but let's him experiment with different possibilities. It's a game full of secrets and puzzles and a strange sense of humor. It's the closest to what I would call a hommage to the good old dungeon crawler-days. I purchased it on itch.io, where you can get a drm-free installer-version. For 10 Dollars it's a steal. It deserves its place here on GOG too in my opinion.

xenosophont This game is a worthy spiritual successor to "good old games" such as the Wizardry and Might & Magic series GOG has achieved a lot of its initial success from selling them in easy-to-use packages for modern systems. This refusal seems extremely fishy and the lack of any logical justification for turning down Grimoire probably does point to a SJW infestation within the company which is usually fatal because of the "Get w0ke, go br0ke" principal.
I won't purchase anything from GOG again unless they accept Grimoire. I don't support companies going "woke" out of principle.

Acrombus I was hoping this game would come to GoG. Very disappointed that they have refused it, and the reasons they gave are obviously dishonest. I've lost a lot of respect for GoG as my #1 game retailer from this, and I will not be hesitant to buy games on Steam over GoG in the future.

There are a ton of games on the community wishlist I could care less about and I've never felt the need to post stupid comments in the comments section of those games. I just don't vote. The hate some of these freaks have for this game and its Dev is bizarre as hell. They're a mentally gaggle that flocks from site to site to disparage a video game and its Dev. Nuts. Get a ife. Telling you're Polish is redundant, your name makes it rather obvious. As for Cleve banning people, AFAIK he only banned felipepepe, a leftist weaboo resident of RPG Codex who had been spreading lies about the game and creating misquotes. I don't blame Cleve for banning that guy. Still, his negative review stays up, how do you explain that?
And as Yigdboz pointed out you ignored the rest of my post. His behaviour (which is still mild when compared to other companies like Beamdog, Bethesda, EA, Ubisoft and other where they ban you for using a nigger word or criticizing games too much - which didn't happen with Grimoire) has no relevance when it comes to curating a PRODUCT. On GOG devs don't even get moderator powers so other than him asking GOG to remove negative reviews he could do nothing. In fact Beamdog dev got massive downvotes in Planescape Torment EE subforums and users pointed out how shitty their behaviour is.

This game is 100% "GOOD OL' GAMES" and the current version 2.x is stable and certainly no wonkier than at least half the other retro 90s era games on GOG. I bought Realms of Arkania 1-3 yesterday - have you tried to create a character in RoK 2? The stat process is some of the most tedious, irritating party creation I've ever tried to sit through.
I bought Grimoire on Day 1 it came out on Steam back in 2017 at nearly full price and for a while I had been rebuilding my game catalog on GOG by re-purchasing games I had already bought on Steam long ago, simply because I wanted to support GOG and migrate away from Steam.
If this kind of game is getting rejected by GOG now, then I see no reason NOT to use Steam going forward. I'm actually upset now that I didn't see this thread until today, because I just gave GOG more money yesterday.
I will simply stop buying games on GOG.

Even if it were true one has to separate a man from his product. His product is either good or it's not and it doesn't matter that he has non-politically correct views (which coincidentally are the views of 90% of us Poles). Otherwise Bioware or Bethesda games should also be removed because some of their devs are calling for white genocide or consider jews as superior race.
wilczajagoda I find it interesting that people are complaing about gog's decision, when the dev himself has been banning people from steam forums and deleting their posts over disagreements. As the saying goes: don't dish out if you can't take it.

Severian_1 There is already two sequels of the Wizardry 7 - Wizardry 8 and Wizards and Warriors, but no Grimoire? It`s unfair. Grimoire in it`s current state already more playable and bug-free than Wizards and Warriors.
