When I got saw the notification via email that this game was on GOG.com I simply couldn't believe it. All those lucky enough to have an Amiga when they were young (or not so young) and play this game will know exactly what I'm on about. Superfrog was a masterpiece when it came out and I can't wait to play it again all these years later. Only James Pond 2 codename Robocod matched it's class in the era where 2D platforms swamped the market.

Overall, Superfrog was a beautiful, charming and superbly playable platformer. If you've never experienced it then you probably should for that reason alone.
However, when it comes to games that shaped our expectations and moved the home computer games industry forward, Superfrog was a really important one. It's great to see it get an official release.
Superfrog himself is a greatread more bit of Team17 ip. Why they haven't done anything with him since is a bit of a mystery to me. Fingers crossed that this won't be the last outing we see for him...
Apparently this is the ms dos version and has it's problems when compared to the Amiga version. I'm confident that they've ironed out any glitches for this release though. It's definitely worth the download to find out!
(I wonder is we'll see Assassin or Project X anytime soon...)

Played it on the Amiga back in the mid 90's, and my 8-old daughter plays it now and loves it. It's still one of the best platformers ever made.
Many thanks to Team17 and GOG for bringing back this great game! Anyone who tends to like platformers should definitely grab this one, it has the spirit that many modern games miss nowadays.
