Thymesia - Digital Deluxe Edition

For me personally, something about this game just clicked. The art style, music and story just mesh so well together. I'm not normally a fan of 'souls' games, but this one grabbed my attention and i'm glad i picked it up. I know that the amnesiac protaganist is an overused trope, but it's well used here and it doesn't cheapen the experience. Also I've not encountered the bugs that seem prevelent in new game releases in general, so kudos to the devs for that.

I played it at my friends house and I fell inlove the moment I saw the art style, the combat is amazing and really diffrent, it keeps you hooked and I was HOOKED. The entire atmosphere is gorgeous, it reminds you of Bloodborn but doesn't at the same time, it really has it's own feeling and vibe to it and it hits good. My only "problem" if you can say that, more a personal choice is that it feels a little to linear and short, but in my regard that is a personal taste. It truly is an amzing game and highly recommend.

The game itself is worth playing. I enjoyed it and almost finished it in a single sitting. Now the problem with that... and why i'm giving it just 3 stars. Since I've been playing for a really long time I guess my memory failed and the game crashed, which happens sometimes with other games too. (This is my PC's fault). Okay, just restart, no problem... BUT after I booted up again, I couldn't load my save. After looking it up on the internet it turns out that when the game crashes there's a reasonable chance that it will corrupt the save, which is what happened to me I think. I hadn't stopped the game for over 12 hours and I didn't have a cloud save backed up, so I was in a really bad spot. Thankfully I had really little of the game left to complete and I downloaded a complete save from Nexus mods to play the final levels and boss which I had left to complete, but that was really frustrating and just for that it deserves a lower star.
