Cyberpunk SFX is a sci-fi action adventure game that tells the story of synthetic life forms struggling for their right to exist. The player must survive in a near-future world where the AI systems are considered by law to be “Genies” — malicious otherwordly creatures who must be destroyed along with their creators.
The Story (long story short — it’s all about the money)
In the future, an acceptable level of economic growth is impossible without the AI. The lack of scientific method means the society is doomed to stagnate, face trade union conflicts, acts of civil disobedience, and populism… But not everyone is ready to cheerfully accept the potential solutions.
A Story Inspired by Real Life
It’s rather naive to imagine that getting synthetic pets is enough to address the key issues without spawning new ones. When people cling onto life but abandon independent thinking, they eventually lose both. Isn’t it time we stopped avoiding life and took our cue from the new forms that are currently busy proving their right to exist?
You Have to Deserve Your Soul
Do you know many people who don’t cherish what they have? What if that kind of possession is merely an illusion? If you don’t value something, you don’t deserve it — and vice versa. This time it’s about having a soul, and very soon many people will find themselves trailing behind the machines.
A Future Cult Classic
This game is bound to become a hit… once the world is swarmed by machines and algorithms. Buy it right now, before it comes out of Early Access and becomes too mainstream! You’ll get some cool points to flaunt before your holographic grandchildren.

So this game came out in 2020 and still hasn't received a single update. I can only assume the devs have abandoned it. Don't waste your money on it. This project is a dead end. It'll remain in early access until someone at GOG comes to their senses and removes it from the store.
First odd thing after starting the game:
It's trying to launch steam VR, even VR isn't mentioned anywhere on the shop page.
Then you're dropping into a hallway with some concrete blocks, hiding some kind of bots, the game tells you to press 1 to get a beam weapon. After that you can choose the "sarcasm level" (0, 50, 100) of your female hero and you have to kill all the bots hiding behind the blocks. They look all the same and it seems just one type.
The higher the sarcasm level, the more stupid comments on destroying a bot your heroine will make.
There's no way to heal your character and it seems your first gun has unlimited ammo/energy.
When you get to the end of the hallway and destroyed all bots, the next level will load, also with concrete blocks and some robots. In addition you'll get access to your "skill wheels" (invincible, invisible and something else i forgot for ~5 sec.).
Here i stopped playing and requested a refund.
The game doesn't tell you why your are there, what your mission is and why there are bots trying to kill you (when they have a line of sight).
The game is using Unreal Engine 4, but I've seen maps and levels made for Unreal Tournament '99 looking much better.
I don't know, but this game isn't for me - and I usually like games in the cyberpunk settings. Either the game is in early alpha or it is just that bad right now.
Not worth 10€ and not even the 1,49€ currently.
I suggest to buy "Deux Ex GOTY" for 7€ (1€ on sale now) instead - THAT is a game!
It would be listed as a great project house, maybe even a turn key flip, "lots of potential"
There sure is at least a level, the crack shot robot foes made sure that my poor gaming skills where on full display.
Every time I came around a corner the Ai would stand and stare at me as it saw that my skills where too beneath it to do more than run towards me while one of its partners would make sure to have its back with pin point laser handling that rapidly chipped away at my health bar
being the realistic cyberpunk environment that this game is going for there didn't seem to be a way to maybe take a breather and get that poor thing back up-to snuff.
I know its my lack of skill that kept be from reaching the end of the first hallway and I can't help but hope this game blossoms into something unique with clear and dedicated team that it has.
This game has no storyline and one feels to have been put into a random place fighting some bots. No real tutorial and no proper storyline top follow. Tried it a few minutes and it sucked.
